While practicing, I accidentally went straight into the window (no carriage in the way or nearby). This was with Sprint Speed+ on Eika, so a total of 65 speed. I noted that when jumping and gliding, you get the max height by double jumping before the apex, not at the apex. Of course, this compromises the distance that you would be at the peak of your jump, so there's a sweet spot between the two to aim for. Making the jump in the video feels like it has a lot more to do with this jumping pattern, so go up to a wall and keep your mouse still, then practice jumping and gliding to reach the max height you can. Try double jumping as late as you can while still getting max height. Start your glide as soon as you double jump, almost hitting the two buttons at the same time. Then the last piece of the puzzle is timing. Ignore the part where I said I went straight into the window, I really can't replicate this no matter how hard I try. Normally, when you do this jump with no carriage, you'll bonk the ledge and forcefully de-stringify, with maybe the slightest appearance of clipping on the corner. You need the carriage to just be barely coming out such that it isn't blocking you yet, but will hit you so you can attach. So the timing is real tight, which is why the setup is specific in this video. Sprint Speed+ actually made the timing different, requiring me to start running a bit late. So keep this in mind when practicing, you need to time this based on sprint speed. Also, Sprint Speed+ doesn't seem to make the jump actually easier, I just noticed I only went fully into the window twice total and only with Sprint Speed+.
@@MongooseInferno yeah I've always done it without any sprint speed or paper speed buffs just so that I know I can do it without being forced to buy those upgrades and that it's possible for all characters. I'll have to check my recordings again if I ever was able to do the jump just immediately doing double jump glide and if it's easier. I have a feeling that immediately double jumping doesn't maximize for height (which is the most important part of this jump) but I'll have to double check. Might be worth it if it makes the jump easier.
@@XinghuiEnjoyer Not immediate double jump, but immediate glide after double jump. If you double jump too soon, you do lose a good bit of height. But you lose more height by waiting til the absolute peak of the jump, I guess because the vertical speed is actually additive.
@@MongooseInferno wait which timing are you talking about exactly? In the video I'm doing: 1) jump at the ledge 2) 2nd jump at the apex of the 1st jump 3) immediately start gliding after doing the 2nd jump
@@XinghuiEnjoyer #2, even in the video the double jump is well before the apex. I had no luck when I tried delaying until the apex because I wasn't getting quite enough height. My bad, I'm distracted while writing and haven't been very clear.
@@MongooseInferno no all good you're probably right I'm not jumping exactly at the apex it's moreso I'm adding a delay on the 2nd jump. I'll test different jump timings though. I was also testing some other line ups like getting on the wall stick on the side closer to attacker spawn just to make the running aspect exact (right now you need to make the turn) but doing so loses line of sight with mid so it's hard know when to start running bc u cant see the cargo directly

i tried this for and hour can could not, lol you make it look so easy
practice makes perfect! if you really cant do it dw it's not that important it's just a small little bonus
pretty cool
