BEWARE !! Payout availability can vary based on the industry and country you’re operating in. In most cases, when you start processing live payments from your customers with Stripe, you won’t receive your first payout until 7-14 days after receiving your first successful payment. The first payout may take longer for a number of reasons, including your country or being in a high-risk industry. Processing subsequent payouts then happens according to your account’s payout schedule.
What’s the difference between a individual stripe account and a business stripe account? Should I really register my company legally to open stripe or just go with the normal individual account
Hi there, Cutsy Doggo! Stripe doesn’t differentiate between individual and business accounts. There’s the standard Stripe pricing, which everyone gets by default, and that includes some features like Stripe Radar that aren’t included by default in non-standard pricing. Non-standard pricing includes non-profit discounts and negotiated pricing, which is generally done by large corporations and/or high-volume customers. Hi Christophe! Thanks for stopping by! Your question is a little unclear -- Are you asking about using Stripe to run a third-party auction website? While this isn't one of Stripe's prohibited businesses, it may be difficult to configure on your own. Your best bet would be to contact Stripe directly for a more definitive answer. And, if that wasn't your question, please feel free to re-post with more info and we'll definitely try to answer it for you. Best!
Hows come none of these Stripe reviews ever address the most important question? How long before i get my money!! We use them and they have been holding payout for over two weeks!! That is unacceptable to us but we are stuck since all of our customers card info is with them.
Hi Stoney! That sounds so upsetting! You can find more in-depth info on processing times and deposits in our linked article: www.merchantmaverick.com/how-does-stripe-work/#Stripe_FAQs The standard payout timing for businesses in the United States and Australia that are not high-risk industries is two business days. Payouts of your available account balance are made daily, but they contain the payments you have processed in the last two business days. You can opt to automatically have funds paid to your account daily, weekly, or monthly. You can also turn off automatic payouts at your Dashboard to manually send funds to your bank account, but they will still arrive according to a payout schedule set by Stripe. Note that the standard payout timing is two business days, but it might take longer depending on your location or if you are in a high-risk industry. Without knowing more specifics, it's tough to say why they'd be holding your funds, but Stripe does come with a heightened risk of sudden account holds and freezes over a traditional merchant account. You can find out more about this here: www.merchantmaverick.com/avoid-merchant-account-holds-freezes-terminations/ In the meantime, you should definitely reach out to Stripe directly to see if you can get any information on the holdup. Best of luck with this!

Hi Yusrat! Sorry to hear about your account issues. As a general rule, Stripe does not accept high-risk merchants. We recommend checking to confirm that your business isn’t in a high-risk category before signing up with Stripe. Otherwise, the most likely outcome is that you’ll initially be approved for an account, but the company will quickly shut it down once you start processing transactions. It sounds like this is what happened to you, unfortunately. Here is a post that explains which industries are typically considered high risk: www.merchantmaverick.com/high-risk-business-company-industry/ and you can view our video on what to do if you've been deemed high risk: ua-cam.com/video/zoO5tF7qxnw/v-deo.html for more advice. Hey, Snowball Assets! A Stripe account offers a lot of convenience but it’s primarily a way to hold your credit card sales funds. Stribe is for b2c, right?? b2c = business to customers.
If payment is only bank transaction and not credit card
Hi Stefan! Thanks for stopping by. Stripe supports both B2C and B2B transactions and also includes credit card processing -- you can find more on that in this video.

Hi Ivan! Oh no. Sorry to hear that! Have you tried reaching out to Stripe's customer service to see if they can help? stripe.com/contact
If you are foreigner and having a legal llc entity in USA don’t bother since you don’t have ssn number stripe will shut down your account and hold your money forever
Nope! Ask for atlas my friend. You can use it without being on the US! Stripe rocks!!
@@JM-ij6qx they says so until when you get your ein and apply after they will send you a credit card personal information request and you will be never ever pass that. I form 3 company under the different name of owner all the Same issues
I wished that I have read all this negative comment before I asked my customers to pay. Stripe took the money and even not able to let us refund to the clients. When they review your account there is no 24/7 support. All you got is an automatic reply. Don't use Stripe.
What is alternative way?
Do I pay to use stripe
Hi there! Stripe has zero setup, monthly or hidden fees. Instead, Stripe uses a flat-rate pricing system! For example, online payments cost 2.9% +$0.30 per transaction & 2.7% + $0.05 per transaction for in-person payments.
To learn more about Stripe's pricing, check out our review. We hope this helps! www.merchantmaverick.com/reviews/stripe-review/
i am now more confused than I was before the video
Oh no, Sidhardh! That's definitely not what we want to hear. If you have a specific question, please feel free to post it here and we will do our best to clarify and get you on the right track!
I heard you’re able to create different credit cards is this true?
Hi Benji! Are you referring to branding a corporate card with your logo? If so, the answer is YES! You can find out more here: stripe.com/corporate-card
Stripe is a nightmare. Avoid at all cost. Customer service is nonexistent if you have a problem or want to delete your account.

I couldn’t get my stripe account activated. They closed my account saying it’s a high dispute account. I haven’t even started receiving payment on the account yet. What can I do? Help
Best of luck to you!
@@MerchantMaverick What if your customer already paid $435 when they shut your account down? Well they keep it. Wont issue a refund or send it to your account.

What's the difference between Stripe and a regular bank account. Why wouldn't I just keep all my company's funds in stripe?
Hey, Snowball Assets! A Stripe account offers a lot of convenience but it’s primarily a way to hold your credit card sales funds. You can get a little bit of bank-like function out of it terms of B2B payments and, if you’re invited, financing. That said, banks offer FDIC insurance (in the US), checking, savings, financial instruments, and greater depth when it comes to lending. We hope this helps! Thanks for watching.
This was not a setup, just talking about it
Hi Dilsat, thanks for watching! You are correct, this is not a setup tutorial, it's just an overview of Stripe. In the more in-depth, linked article, we have a section that walks you through setup. You can find it here as well: www.merchantmaverick.com/how-does-stripe-work/#How_To_Set_Up_A_Stripe_Account Hopefully that helps!

Is there buyer protection with stripe? Looking to buy an online course through instagram, was wondering if it’s not legitimate will I get my money back with stripe?
Hey, Michael! Stripe does not offer buyer protection. In this scenario, you would need to reach out to your bank to file a chargeback if you believe that the transaction was invalid. Thanks for watching!
I just want to use it for craft fairs. You lost me when you started talking about codes.
Hey, Janet! Square is a simpler solution that’s probably better than Stripe for selling at craft fairs. Check out our Square review if you want to learn more: www.merchantmaverick.com/reviews/square-review/. Best of luck!
stripe is not working for me it wants a dozen new emails phone numbers to sign up for various social media accounts to connect with I already have an active account stripe I need to learn to connect sync all integrated functions of adding more multiple accounts in that one account ex for Tumblr get paid to write and or take tips , podcasting anchor get cta button and receive donations monetization

What is their phone number?
Hello! It looks like Stripe doesn't have their phone number listed on their website. To get in contact with Stripe, you can either email them at info@stripe.com with general inquiries or you can contact support through their website. We hope this helps! support.stripe.com/

😳 HUH!
The website is not user friendly, and you just made it worst to understand.
It looks total unreliable to me. I was expecting practical examples but you described literature copied from documentations.

@@MerchantMaverick still not recovered it
Stripe seems like a scam to me. They declined our business, which is hardly high risk without explanation. Customer service just replies with generic answers. But the technical documentation that we can't use is good.
I am rather nervous of using Stripe, I just don't trust it!
Hey, Shirley! We totally get the hesitation. To help give you some peace of mind, Stripe has been in business for over 12 years as a credit card processor. Beware of Stripe processing. They randomly charged me $1400 even though I do that much business with them. Don't give them your bank information
@Duct Tale Yes, I had to freeze my bank account and re-open another one. I contacted a federal agency and they will contact Stripe and they'll have 15 days to respond back
If youre processing that volume on your merchant account stripe will classify you as high-risk, does holding your fund
