Thanks for the kind comments John
I'm glad you enjoy the videos, the main thing is the radio in all of this and Hackers are my favourite transistor sets
Have a lovely Christmas and New year John

Superb job Shaun. You really knocked that one out of the park. I like the ironing of the handle covering. Sounds great as most Hackers do. Onto the next one now. Cheers Graham

Have a look in at your local charity shop at woman's hand bags. I have replaced many radio handles like this. And very cheap.

That radio really looks great now! We had a computer power pack once, that put out masses of interference on the AM bands, and it took a while to pinpoint the culprit.

Yes turned out nice , drove me up the wall trying to work out what the interference was !
Thanks for watching and have a lovely Christmas and New year

What a loverly radio, an excellent restoration :-D
Amazing how different it looks now, heating the rexiene is something i would never thought of.
But i would not dare to heat it up, but you dared and won :-D.
Switch mode power supplys can be very noisy, never power your radio from a switchmode, you will hear nothing but interference.

      Hey Harvey
Thanks as always for watching and commenting, yes turned out nice the radio.
I'm moving onto pastures new next (probably in the new year) a wooden valve set has appeared, I'll be needing advice as I have very little experience with them 😮
Have a lovely Christmas and New year
      Best regards Shaun

I do enjoy working on Hackers, really nice sets as you know.
I'm looking at building up some equipment back , for alignment ect , but that one is definitely looking and performing much better than when it arrived

A little heat will allow you to bend plastic to the shape you want, probably. The temp tie wrap looks fair to me though. You should soon have a fair commercial radio museum

Yes I get what you say, if you plung into the UA-cam world of vintage radio you'll see that I'm a little fish in the ocean compared with the collections of some !
      Thanks for watching
