Brilliant job done on the radio, enjoyed watching all your videos and the end result is a credit to you and all your careful and dedicated treatment. JohnK.
Thanks for the kind comments John I'm glad you enjoy the videos, the main thing is the radio in all of this and Hackers are my favourite transistor sets Have a lovely Christmas and New year John Best regards Shaun
Superb job Shaun. You really knocked that one out of the park. I like the ironing of the handle covering. Sounds great as most Hackers do. Onto the next one now. Cheers Graham
Thanks for watching Graham Yes as you know Hackers are top of the bill in vintage transistor Radio's, hard to beat , still learning from you. Have a lovely Christmas and New year buddy Best regards Shaun
Thanks Robert Yes the turn table test ! Just squirt some WD40 or GT85 in and usually they are ok Thanks for watching and commenting Have a lovely Christmas and New year Best regards Shaun
Well done Shaun a great job on the rp25 I need some time off to start mine but some great tips there and looks and sounds lovely have a brilliant christmas and new year 😊
That radio really looks great now! We had a computer power pack once, that put out masses of interference on the AM bands, and it took a while to pinpoint the culprit.
Thanks Timothy Yes turned out nice , drove me up the wall trying to work out what the interference was ! Thanks for watching and have a lovely Christmas and New year All the best Shaun
What a loverly radio, an excellent restoration :-D Amazing how different it looks now, heating the rexiene is something i would never thought of. But i would not dare to heat it up, but you dared and won :-D. Switch mode power supplys can be very noisy, never power your radio from a switchmode, you will hear nothing but interference.
Hey Harvey Thanks as always for watching and commenting, yes turned out nice the radio. I'm moving onto pastures new next (probably in the new year) a wooden valve set has appeared, I'll be needing advice as I have very little experience with them 😮 Have a lovely Christmas and New year Best regards Shaun
Thanks Geoff They are really nice sets to service and come up really well with a little sprucing up Glad you enjoyed it, have a lovely Christmas and New year Best regards Shaun
Fine Work On That RP25 Shaun Proper Radio Not Like Those Modern Woberts Sets And Their Small Plastic Speakers 😂 You Should Be Proud You Have Saved Another Old Lady From Landfill Regards mike.
Thanks Mike I do enjoy working on Hackers, really nice sets as you know. I'm looking at building up some equipment back , for alignment ect , but that one is definitely looking and performing much better than when it arrived Thanks for watching and commenting, Have a lovely Christmas and New year buddy Best regards Shaun
A little heat will allow you to bend plastic to the shape you want, probably. The temp tie wrap looks fair to me though. You should soon have a fair commercial radio museum
Thanks Chris Yes I get what you say, if you plung into the UA-cam world of vintage radio you'll see that I'm a little fish in the ocean compared with the collections of some ! Thanks for watching Best regards Shaun
