Large Hadron Collider - World's Largest Particle Accelerator Explained
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 лют 2025
- The Large Hadron Collider is back in action at the CERN laboratory after receiving a big upgrade in the time since its last run in 2012. The particle collider is poised to make discoveries that could rewrite the book on particle physics.

@1:43 how is this even possible?! I just counted 1 second and the photons have done 11,000 laps? Mind blowing.
Amazing isnt it? But compared to actual photon, particle accelerrated here is slow. 17 miles (roughly 27.359 km) and 11000 laps means the particles travel roughly 300949 km every single second. While photon could travel from Earth to Moon (around 384000 km) only in 1.25 seconds
That thing scares me.
Can you tell me what Vern for is like for time traveler and change things ?
I just want to know the results.
I just want to know what they know.
Don’t be. If by any chance it makes a black hole, it would be too small to absorb anything and it’ll fizzle out immediately
Stupid Scientist taking our tax dollars so they have with explosives
Now I understood the use of LHC. THANKS FOR UR VIDEO. AWESOME EXPLANATIONS.
"Sometimes the best way to think Big is to go Small". Giggity.
Great
Please stop using fahreinth scale in a science video! (the rest of the world use celsius and the SI unit is Kelvin)
America needs to learn the metric system , its kinda annoying when they use different units
Kamran Younis We feel the same but flipped
Sierra Autumn compared to the rest of the world
Bloch Jason You got that right!
Um, America _does_ use the metric system for science. This channel's just retarded to use them. Please don't judge an entire country from one video. Just saying.
We definitely want to know about big bang theory all the best for the team
who wakes up and be like :
"you know what in gonna collide particles"
Thank you, now I know quantum physics.
it more to elementry particle physic i guess but ya...
R/woooosh
noooow we can work with the theories of the Higgs Boson
They are cranking it up to full power this week
Hm. 7 Billion people in the world. Only over 300 million people in America.
"LETS USE FAHRENHEIT SCALE!"
Hi!
I'm just as frustrated with the metric system! KM'S?
I dont like math! lol
The imperial system is more precise. Its not our fault that we use a more precise scale.
@@joshx420 imperial? okay😂

What is the benefit of a Hadron Collider? How does this contribute to society?
1-Pi meson particle life =1/25 second so if these particle travel nearly speed of light their time become slow that's why their life increase and it gives phenomena of time travel
2- to study particle interaction in vacuum

No ones gonna mention 99.99999% the speed of light made here on earth by humans?
Well-Done!
This is how the flash was born lol
Very cool, although it would be nice if this was explained a little more in detail. Maybe a more in depth video. For example, why is it that the cold magnets produce more power than warmer ones and how is this accomplished? Or, why is the vacuum of space a requisite? I would assume to reduce friction, but you get the jest.
God is a pretty cool engineer.
Search "LHC documentary". You will get a nice video giving you all you want
He is indeed 🙏💪
So tell me. is this basically a time machine?
2:50 sometimes you need to go big to take it big.
Soy profesor de física (pero sólo de enseñanza media (secundaria) y además sudamericano (chileno)) pero estoy medio loco. Según una fórmula deducida por mí, mientras más cercano al instante 0 sea el despliegue de energía en este experimento, será más efectivo el experimento. Se desplegará mucha más energía efectiva (los detalles de la fórmula son un secreto). Es la batalla del hombre ante Dios.
Great video
any steins gate ? ♥
Superb vedio and go deep research on this
how was that a good video, didn't explain anything.now children it goes really fast and alice well don't know what alice actually does or how she works,i know it's science stuff
We need it to explode, like in the flash
Can we accelerate lights with that? So we can see our future or past throught that.. After a million laps we capture the lights which already accelerate to see somthing from the future or past
I didnt quite get it bro, if you can explain a bit?
its collect particles and collide them, idk if lights is particle too, if it is so maybe we can
You can't accelerate light, the speed of light is the fastest possible speed in our universe. No matter what you do you can never surpass it.
How long was that thing built
Looks like a transmutation circle
I will try to understand,as a human !
So if that thing explode we are going to become speedsters?😂
Or maybe a metahuman

world using KM and KG, just reminder for this channel
FYI: KG means kilograms and KM means Kilometers
Gotta be careful where you fall
What if they do test on radioactive particals?
Do you know the answer now 🤣
Everyone’s talking about temperature but the low temperature is only due to the vacuum. A vacuum barely has any air (particles) so the temperature would naturally be low since temperature is the vibration and collision of particles. The vacuum is to prevent other particles from interfering. Sub-zero temperatures do not affect the strength of magnetic fields.in fact, magnetism is extremely independent and most forces can’t affect it. I’m not even a scientist, so please work on the quality of research.
sub-zero temperatures are needed for the machines (magnets) to "produce" these extremely strong magnatic fields. Magnetism isn't effected by temperatures, but magnets are.
I still dont know how they do it? Where do they even get these atoms from? I thought that atoms are so small that a human being cant manipulate an element to get like exactly one atom from it. But they somehow do it and then they take this tiny thing and put it on this lightning speed race track? How do they even notice that the atom is really there?. I mean, its so small.. maybe it fell on the ground? :D I heard that 10 billion hydrogen atoms would fit in a one centimeter long row. Its so crazy.. And how do they notice the impact? If two things hit each other by the speed of light, no matter how small the things are, you would probably think they rip the whole place into shreds. But it seems that nothing special is happening instead. They probably dont even need to clean up the mess because there is no "mess". And after ten years of doing this, what do they actually do each day? I mean there is limited number of combinations even if you take every isotope. So after a couple of weeks of you should be done right? :D
I don't get it. Why use Fartenheit?
Because Americans think they're special snowflakes for using the system nobody else uses (except for Myanmar and Liberia) and nobody else cares about.
TyOrca 5 it's a pretty odd system to use and metric system is was easier to use
