    @1:43 how is this even possible?! I just counted 1 second and the photons have done 11,000 laps? Mind blowing.

    • @xalovaid3693
      @xalovaid3693 Рік тому

      Amazing isnt it? But compared to actual photon, particle accelerrated here is slow. 17 miles (roughly 27.359 km) and 11000 laps means the particles travel roughly 300949 km every single second. While photon could travel from Earth to Moon (around 384000 km) only in 1.25 seconds

    Very cool, although it would be nice if this was explained a little more in detail. Maybe a more in depth video. For example, why is it that the cold magnets produce more power than warmer ones and how is this accomplished? Or, why is the vacuum of space a requisite? I would assume to reduce friction, but you get the jest.

    Everyone’s talking about temperature but the low temperature is only due to the vacuum. A vacuum barely has any air (particles) so the temperature would naturally be low since temperature is the vibration and collision of particles. The vacuum is to prevent other particles from interfering. Sub-zero temperatures do not affect the strength of magnetic fields.in fact, magnetism is extremely independent and most forces can’t affect it. I’m not even a scientist, so please work on the quality of research.

    • @Capiiable
      @Capiiable 2 роки тому

      sub-zero temperatures are needed for the machines (magnets) to "produce" these extremely strong magnatic fields. Magnetism isn't effected by temperatures, but magnets are.

    I still dont know how they do it? Where do they even get these atoms from? I thought that atoms are so small that a human being cant manipulate an element to get like exactly one atom from it. But they somehow do it and then they take this tiny thing and put it on this lightning speed race track? How do they even notice that the atom is really there?. I mean, its so small.. maybe it fell on the ground? :D I heard that 10 billion hydrogen atoms would fit in a one centimeter long row. Its so crazy.. And how do they notice the impact? If two things hit each other by the speed of light, no matter how small the things are, you would probably think they rip the whole place into shreds. But it seems that nothing special is happening instead. They probably dont even need to clean up the mess because there is no "mess". And after ten years of doing this, what do they actually do each day? I mean there is limited number of combinations even if you take every isotope. So after a couple of weeks of you should be done right? :D
