Being a working artist in a supportive, independent studio is a dream of mine. One day! ❤

#1 Be able to draw a human skull from memory
#2 Natural poses and expressions from a foundation anatomy (photos, life, mirror) and gesture drawing
#3 Hanging the head on the horizon (Loomis)-align same body part with horizon to keep figures in a scene anchored no matter how far or near to the camera
#4 Large shapes in the foreground with smaller shapes in the background of a scene creates depth without too much distracting details
#5 When drawing figures, imagine underlying structure is flexible so they have life rather than being stiff
#6 Make the art, don't overly critique. While others evaluate what you've done, do more art.

I understand that making videos takes way to much time but I would love to see so much more!

Nice Video! i really like the: don't worry about your art, let others think about it while you create more art.
Although working digital has many positive features, inking traditionally again made me so much faster as you just cannot correct every single line all the time 👍

The background music is too loud. I don't understand what people are saying.sometimes. That music is not necessary.

Yeah, the interview segment audio is quieter than the voice-over, and can get buried.

@@helioscopepdx6666 Your videos are are invaluable! I'm loving them. Would you consider making one about your and your companion's software of choice and why? Edit: I just checked some 2 years old vid where you touch this subject :) In any case with the new updates to these apps it would be cool to know your present thoughts
