I would have liked this video to show me how to start from the very beginning, prior to emailing it to yourself. because Im not techy at all
Thanks! I never thought I could just fix the formatting by simply pressing the undo button. Saved a me ton of trouble.
Finally someone who explains how it’s done. Thank you Sir!!!
You bet!
Thank you so much!!!!! This helped me
Thank you!!! This worked
I've been looking for this
You are my life saver.
This was exactly what I was looking for! Great easy tutorial, thank-U Frank
Glad it helped!
thx - you made it work boss, well done
my images dont show up. i have them hosted in a server. link is reachable from any browser.
Is it possible to share HTML file please?! 🙏🏻
Thank you sir, just got a new job where this seems a lot more professional to have and use lol thanks a lot!!
THANKS SOOOO MUCH!!! I’ve been trying to find out how to keep the original font in the email signature and you three finger tap worked like a charm!! How did you know about that??
Just years of experience and troubleshooting :)
Hi mate. It wont highlight logos, just the text. Why is that?
Cheers
Interesting, my iphone does not have mail or signature. I guess they got rid of it for iphone 14
hey there, any suggestions. I can't seem to paste the information after I copy it. I've tried into "all accounts,Per Account" nothing seems to allow me to paste ! cheers.
Are you long-pressing in the signature section to bring up the copy/paste/select all/etc. menu? That does the trick for me.
Is there any way to add an image (my logo) to my signature when using GMAIL on my iPhone? I have it on my gmail signature on my PC; that was easy. Thanks.
As long as your email signature is properly installed in Gmail on the web, just make sure that “mobile signature” is turned off in the Gmail app on your iPhone/iPad by going to Settings > Signature Settings > un-tick “Mobile Signature”.
It won’t show up when you’re composing a message on your phone, but it will pull your signature from where you originally installed it in Gmail and send it along with your message.
Ça ne marche plus sur iphone 14 😢 ! Si quelqu’un a une solution merci
Where do you make you cool signature with the social media links ??
I design them myself... My portfolio, pricing etc. can all be found at makalla.com
Thank you so much, this is exactly what I was looking for. As you mentioned on a comment, we need to create the signature as an HTML file and reference the images from a hosted source, right?
That is correct :)
Great tutorial, but when I compose a new email the image does not show, instead it says "null". What have I done wrong? Thanks in advance : )
I'm not sure why that would be, as I haven't seen "null" before... Are the images externally hosted on a remote server? In this video, the images are externally hosted, which is how you want to do it no matter where you're installing your email signature.
did you find a solution Katie?
@@bencoward3932 I am also running into this issue. Where & how do you suggest storing the image?
How did you create the HTML signature in the first place - the rest is self explanatory
I design custom HTML email signatures for a living - makalla.com
I cannot get iOS 14 to accept a photo of my business card in the signature settings any longer… The admin at my real estate office told me that iOS no longer supports images in signature lines.
Can somebody please tell me if this is true or not?
You want to have the image hosted on an external server and then referenced with HTML code.
Also, the iPhone signature settings won't allow just an image in there (it will ignore it when composing)... You need some text as well, so adding something like "Regards," above the image in the signature settings will solve that problem.
Hi, How I create a html signature. I have a jpeg signature. How can i convert to html. Are you able to help?
Hi Burak... I design HTML email signatures for a living. You can check out my portfolio, pricing etc. at makalla.com
Hey Frank thank you for the video. I saved it to „watch later“ and watched it occasionally since then 😅
You made me to take care of my colleagues signatures because of that video.
Just a question. I designed a signature myself. I was able to save it to web and create html. I finally added it in Gmail with clickable links. But now a new issue pops up and it’s about iPhone. So I’m back at your video.
The code works fine on desktop. But when I send the signature to iPhone per Mail, then copying it und paste it, it totally disrupts the format, tearing it apart kind of.
Can you just give me a hint, what I need to research to learn and pass that hurdle. I‘m kind of stucker there and do not find good answers on that. I thought of creating a „smaller version“ now just especially for the iPhone. But maybe this isn‘t efficient? Thank you. And once again, you inspired me with your work! I mean that by heart. 🤝
Hey Philip... Without seeing your installation process, it's hard to know where things might be going wrong. Are you following the shake-to-undo (or 3-finger-tap-to-undo) step to preserve HTML formatting?
Since you mention using Gmail, why not just use the Gmail app on the iPhone?
As long as the email signature is properly installed in Gmail on the web, just make sure that “mobile signature” is turned off in the Gmail app on your iPhone/iPad by going to Settings > Signature Settings > un-tick “Mobile Signature”.
It won’t show up when you’re composing a message on your phone, but it will pull your signature from where you originally installed it in Gmail and send it along with your message.
Hope this helps!
Wow! That was a fast response! I‘ll try that. Thank you for taking time! I appreciate your support.
I did this once but couldn’t remember how to revert to original format.
You can either "shake to undo" or "3-finger double-tap to undo" in order to keep the intended formatting.
How do I create the HTML attachment in the beginning of the video??
You would need to be familiar with HTML code and use software like Dreamweaver, CoffeeCup etc.
Hahaha you really not an iPhone guy but thanks for this haha!
When i open my html file it is all in html text. It doesn't open as the signature like your does. Any ideas?
Is the file you're trying to open a .html file, or a .txt file? A .html file should open correctly.
How do you customize your signature logo?
The Makalla logo? That was created in Photoshop.
The image in the signature is not showing, I don’t know how fix that any advice ?!
You want to host the images on a remote server so they can be fetched as needed, as opposed to locally hosted, which will cause problems.
Hosting externally on a remote server would be something like pointing to www.mywebsite.com/mylogo.jpg in the HTML code of the email signature.
Apple Mail doesn't particularly like embedded/attached graphics in emails, which is why you need to host all graphics on a remote server and reference their location in the HTML code accordingly.
Hope this helps!
Hi I have problem with the process, I currently can make the undo, but then when I exit settings app and go to mail, I don't see the signature. It is very odd do you know how to fix it.
Are you applying it to all accounts or per account?
@@ayeshasaleem2758 per account
That might be the issue... Perhaps you're composing a new message with an account that doesn't have the signature applied?
How did you convert to HTML ??
Help please i have my signature as a jpeg
A functional/clickable email signature needs to be built using HTML code, similar to a basic website. I design HTML email signatures for a living and my portfolio, pricing etc. can all be found at makalla.com
Sorry , I do shake and undo but it doesn’t show up the picture and links , not sure why
Shake to undo (or 3-finger double-tap to undo) is only for maintaining the desired styling of the text after pasting... If pictures aren't displaying, perhaps they aren't externally-hosted on a server? Not sure about the links... Are you copy/pasting from a proper HTML file?
I did everything however when I open my html my pictures and social links are blank. Any suggestions?
Do you have Load Remote Images enabled? Settings > Mail > Messages > Load Remote Images
@@makallacom Yes I do
@@claraboyden7779 Are the graphics externally hosted on a remote server?
@@makallacom the pictures are my own from my hard drive. When I open/download my HTML attachment in the email my picture, my social media icons with hyperlinks do not show. All I see is the outline of a box where the items would be.
@@claraboyden7779 That might be the issue... You want to host the images on a remote server so they can be fetched as needed, as opposed to locally hosted, which will cause problems.
I only have this on my iPad
If Apple Mail isn't on your iPhone, you can install it from the App Store.

I copy and pasted but it isn’t loading in the mail
What's not loading? Nothing at all, or just the graphic(s)? Any text showing?
0:22 how do you even create the HTML first of all
Similar to creating a website... Takes some knowledge of HTML/CSS.
iPhone mail signature logos not showing on email , whatever I do, is not showing, just empty boxes!!!
Sounds like you don't have the graphics hosted on a remote server... All graphics need to be externally-hosted and referenced in the HTML code () in order to display consistently.
@@makallacom How?
@@amethystaba What are you referring to?
