H.E. SAMSUMANA HONOURS HIS BOSS IN APC NORTH-WEST REGION RETREAT 19th JANUARY 2025

- Bai Bureh Hall in Prot Loko District went agog yesterday 18th January 2025 as Former Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone and best fit presidential aspirant in the All Peoples Congress Party H.E Chief Samuel SamSumana joined a host of APC stakeholders to sing in unison with a united APC as the only solution to guaranteeing the APC of taking the State House in 2028 in a three days APC North-West Region Retreat and Fundraising Dinner.
Devoid of all its upheavals and trials of the party, the chairman of the APC North-West Region opened the podium by calling for the all-inclusive participation of everyone in all party activities. He boosted of how they always have in the North-West Region determine the flagbearer of the party, so this time around, they are setting the pace. Speakers after speakers in unanimity demanded a resolve of Unity and Peace not just for the success of the party but for the redemption of the people of Sierra Leone.
Young Congress Leader Mr Ansu Bernard and the Eastern Region Chairman, Mr Maya Kaikai, set the ball rolling for other speakers by delivering well-defined speeches that helped to identify the problems and the solutions required to take APC back to its glory days.
Our esteemed Former Vice President, Chief Samuel SamSumana, when called upon to make a statement, firstly asked all to stand up and observe a minute’s silence for all fallen heroes of the party. He then demonstrated his leadership and peaceful attributes with a statement he is so synonymous with in expressing his profound gratitude towards his boss Former President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, maintaining that his national recognition in society is not just a testament but likewise pinpointing on his appreciation to Former President Ernest Bai Koroma's influence on who and what he is today.
As this sentiment resonated deeply with all present, further strengthening the unity of our party Chief Samsumana emphasized the importance of unity within the All Peoples Congress (APC) Party as he cautioned members to look beyond individual differences. By focusing on our shared goals, the triumphant return of APC to power in the 2028 elections can be easily achieved.
In recognition of the CEO of the APC, his deputy and the entire national executives of the party, he lauded the North-West Region for a commendable organization of this retreat, thus further validating their leadership qualities.
The high points of the retreat came about with the party’s leadership confirming or signalling Chief Samuel SamSumana's eligibility to run for the flagbearer position and equally preventing the party from any hurdles, distractions or litigations.
In his address, the National Secretary General of the party, Barrister Lansana Dumbuya, opined that coming out as a flag bearer is not a crime, but we must be prepared and do everything to bring peace to the party.
On his part, the Deputy National Chairman, Dr Osman Foday Yansaneh, identified our future participation in the census and an amendment to the current APC constitution in an organized convention as areas that need serious thinking.
Chairman Minkailu Mansaray climaxed the evening by emphasizing we will reposition the party to what we want using the constitution. He asked we observe the communique of all participants to drive the success of the party unbridled. In tending an open apology and acceptance nationwide he asked we forgive all our misgivings and let us reconcile to save the soul of Sierra Leone.
These validations from the party leadership underscore our faith in Chief SamSumana and his ability to lead us to victory in the 2028 elections. No wonder a notable sign of divinity when the light was restored to the hall just as he was about to start his speech.
Comrades all, we have just started our journey to victory, as only a united and sincere APC can march on to State House in 2028.
Let us unite the party.
