Europa’s are special cars. Lovely car. Renown handling & ride. Big valve is a lovely engine & quick enough!

Nice restoration. Adjustable lower links must have been added by a previous owner as Lotus did not supply these. Very rare cars now and way ahead of their time. Fantastic handling for a 1960s design, or even for today. I dont have any vibration with mine unless a drive joint is on the way out.

0:27. While this was the last year they were imported into the U.S., Lotus produced a 1975 model before it was discontinued. 1:08. If your car came with adjustable lower links, I believe (not certain) they were installed by a previous owner. 3:23. It's actually called a backbone chassis. 4:55. I see you installed cables to limit the front trunk opening. Nice modification. I replaced the factory prop rod with a longer one so the hood would stand straight up when opened. I installed the prop on the other (left) side. I saw your car at LOG 27. It was a real show stopper as I took 9 pictures of it. Only change since then that I detected was that you replaced the light blue plug wires with black, and you re-routed the breather hose (slightly). I wasn't aware that the center hole in the front trunk fed the heater. Mine doesn't have a screen on it. Are the two screens above the pedal box there for ventilation? Really nice to see the chassis and both bays painted white. Removes some of the mystery as to what's down there! Great restoration and a great video!

These r very odd (esp in the U.S.) cars; beautifully restored, & quite rare.😍I'd 💜2c a custom widebody job on 1of these! Hell I'd 💘 2c all cars ever made w/all kinds of mild-wild custom widebody kits & I mean ALL, from like a resto modded '70s Road Runner which is kind of typical to sumn odd like a '72 Lincoln Town Car/Continental or '80s Cougar/Thunderbird or '80s Chrysler Aries

Lotus. Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious. I had one in the 70s and used to leave for work early so one of my workmates could give me a lift to work after it had broken down. Good pose though and I was only 20 at the time.

I have owned my Europa since 1973 ( a 1969 Lotus 54), I was 21 when I bought it and there were no serious problems, if you know what you are doing with basic mechanics and engineering, but not really for the average motorist. The workshop manual is very comprehensive and detailed. Before I had a family my Europa was my every day car for 8 years with normal running. It is still in my collection of sports cars from 1959 to 2005. Europa is very rare now in UK.
