My Nanna taught me to play cards too. I remember my parents and uncle and auntie sitting at a card table in front of the fire playing cards and that's about 60 years ago when I was a wee girl (and was supposed to be in bed) then they would have a lovely supper. Most of my family lived along the same street. Lovely lovely memories. And all no one had a mobile phone. Lol.

I loved watching the quiet videos. I told my husband about you sitting on the floor playing cards and he said we should play some cards. So out came an old deck of cards and we quietly played rummy for a long time. So relaxing. Thank you for those videos. You look so happy and relaxed. All the stress seems to have melted off your face.

Hello dear Vivi, I have really missed these chatty videos and totally get the quiet simple life ones too. I had visions of myself when you described getting up after being on the floor... Your beautiful sister is always with you looking over your shoulder seeing what you are doing. She is never far away. When I unexpectedly lost 'him indoors' six years ago I dealt with his absence by thinking he was just out shopping and taking bit longer than usual. It helped me and I dealt with the loss that way. Sending big hugs from the Norfolk Broads as always. X

Been following for years and years. Do not comment much. Today in that crip light summer top and your bright mood you are looking fantastic and able to take on the world. I feel the hollowness of loved ones who have died. They are never gone so long as we remember. Am praying you will get a good buyer at the perfect time for the new property to be purchased. And it must must must have a garden space and sunshine. Vivi you are doing well even if at times you don't think so.

You have worked hard to present your home the best possible way, I hope you get a high valuation. Probably not cheap the next place you buy either. I was thinking that I need to downsize in a few years. I built my own home in 2018-19, I need the space now, my two grown boys are still living with me. It's almost impossible for them to get on the property ladder these days. Anyway, I have been looking near my work, and what the value of my house got me closer to the city, is a 40sq meters flat, with a tiny little patio garden. Guess I will hang on here, and rather have the long commute. 😅 I am building my greenhouse this summer, I feel overwhelmed about that, getting my nephew to dig, someone else doing the foundation, and a contractor to build the structure. I am waiting for a person from the municipality to come and point out where my neighbours electrical cables run, so I dont get into a pickle when digging here! Have a wonderful July. Do you have any plans on how to get the most out of it? I was at my friends 60th birthday yesterday, we were outside, with a nice view of the Oslofjord, sitting outside chatting until 1.30 in the morning. Still light outside.. A bit tired today, but worth it, will remember that evening forever.

I must be honest, I agree with you.... I remember when they moved a certain cycle race to Turkey... It is difficult to get around some of the smaller areas anyway then they stopped all the local transport until the mad wagon train passed through... People lost money because they couldn't get to work , animals didn't get fed, local shops had to close.... yes it was publicised as the best thing since sliced bread... but no good for the baker who couldn't make it as the delivery driver couldn't pass ....
I'm watching the Tour on the telly at the same time that I listen to you Vivi! 😍 I totally get your 'quiet' videos, but I just missed hearing your voice! It made me smile when you mentioned other people remembering their grandparents in your card playing video - when I was little (also growing up not far from Southport), we used to go to my Nan's every Sunday. While the adults were getting the dinner (lunch for posh people 😅) ready I used to play clock solitaire (card games always ensued after dinner on those Sundays with illegal gambling for pennies 😂). I always remember being fascinated by the ace of spades which had a drawing of a building in a village with the word 'Vitoria' printed underneath, and I always used to think "I wonder where that is...". Never did I imagine that years later I would end up living in that very place. I've been here for over 30 years now, and Heraclio Furnier is the card factory in the drawing. They make playing cards for casinos all over the world and the card museum is amazing - from early Tarot cards and hand-painted Chinese cards, to cards with maps of British counties, including the village where I grew up.

I am the same Vivi, having always sat crossed legged and when I was a girl my Dad would tell me “You will have bad knees in later life”. Sadly he was right, but I still find sitting cross legged comfortable, and I think you are right, it opens the knee up. Also dangling it from a bar stool does similar 😂 Lying in bed is the most uncomfortable for me.

Hi Vivi, nice to catch up! I'm sure you've thought of all the creative ways of earning money you can try... just in case I'll just mention something I've tried out from Etsy. I've recently got into slow stitching and bought a lovely little slow stitch kit full of bits and pieces of fabric and trim all on a colour theme and done up in a little cardboard box. You've got a great eye for colour and fabric and I could imagine you putting together little collections of things ( fabric cut from charity shop finds etc) and sending them out. Anyway, hope you dont mind me mentioning it. Ignore otherwise 😊 enjoy the sport.

Dealing with social media means you have to develop a thick skin, while doing that it can make you hard heart. Really hard to balance. We are having a heatwave next week 110-118 at least 5 days of the blistering heat then a cool down to 100 degrees. You can have your summer give me fall anyday. Haha You look well rested.

Nice to see your chatty self. I bet you wonder where you found the time to work in the garden....... Pergamon ( Bergama) I have been there ( near Izmir) ... It has the most amazing agora and a basilica. St John the Baptist is supposedly buried there and the locals have an area they know as the Lady's grave ( there is a natural spring there ) .... St John the baptist cared for Mary after Jesus' death and the small grave is very near to the one known as his . Bergama museum is amazing and we 'bunked in' as it was closed but my partner sweet talked the security guard ( Attila) and we had a private viewing ..... we visited Allonia ( also closed ) and the archaeologist who lived there ,took us around the site ( which has sadly since been flooded due to a dam) . Hasan and I sat on the hill overlooking the basillica as the sun went down and the mosques sang for me...a couple of hours isn't enough ..... Oh how such a small rug can bring back so many gorgeous memories..... rugs are for life like memories....🥰 Your sis will be around during the house move..... you will always have an angel by your side.
