Japan's team is always just so fun to watch 🤩
So true, I admire the "Japanese Spirit"
Me too
When I watch USA vs Japan I always cheer for each team even though I am from usa
Ishikawa is very refined in his attacks, blocks, and service. Nishida definitely has the strength and the potential but definitely needs more refinement. Looking forward to seeing their gameplay growth.
As someone pointed out, at 3:56 the Japanese setter in the middle saw the spike coming and pushed the blocker to the right 😂 so good!
That play is one of the reasons I love haikyuu because that exact same scenario played out in the game against shiratorizawa. When tendou (shiraroriawa's middle) gets a block against karasuno's synchronized attack, he explains that since 9ne of karasuno's players needed to make a diving dig, they weren't in position to attack. The only other players on that side were the setter and libero, so he knew the attack would come from the other side of the court. Without haikyuu, a non-volleyball player wouldn't think anything of the Japan setter pushing the middle to the right during that play. But now they can appreciate how attentive and smart some of these volleyball players are.
go back a few second at 3:53, the Japanese setter was also the one who sent the ball to the Italy spiker on the left. He did that deliberately to narrow down attack options from team Italy. Team Italy have no choice but to attack from the right and that was the exact thing Sekita wants
@@hatod2367 awesome 😂 that guy needs to be nerfed
@@rewrose2838 Sekita is real one who score that point 😂😂
8:28 ishikawa also flowed into his attack amazingly well too after his receive!
Yuji Nishiada actually started his own UA-cam channel! The language barrier might be hard but....you could try collabing with him!
I think he understands English, if Im correct I think he did the English subtitles trabslation on his channel
That would make the collage of the year!!!
He's got english subs up too, albeit some things seem to have been mistranslated
any1 have a link? i've been looking for it and can't find it
@@Fultilt search Yuji Nishida channel on yt
Yo IT was SO COOL SEEING you featured in a Crunchyroll video! Seeing crunchyroll react to you reacting to their content is a WIN!!!
On top of that, I just came back from their website, and you are literally a question in a quiz. Look for haikyu news quiz on their site.
3:56 setter is pushing his teammate to the right side
Oh yeah, he did a great job predicting that 😂 (I missed it when watching normally)
The more I watch Ishikawa the more I see if his skills and talent.
It's such a delight watching Japan play. This was a good set. Thanks Erik for sharing. Love you!
Why the thumbnail look like Erik is about to hack the White house's database
I fell in love with volleyball growing up watching your dad coach. I still remember the 1,000th win and how crazy that night was! But I’m glad people have a love for this sport.
Erik is just happiness definition, You're awesome
10:12
What a beautiful serve, dang!
9:20 that quick was insand
Nishida is something else. Watching him is amazing.
13:47 is perfection. they jump all at the same time. lol
"Italians should be good in kick saves" ahahahaha not completly false

Love to see it.
This Haikyū episode looks so realistic!

Erik Shoji back at it again with another banger video. One question. Since you like watching the Japanese Men's Team play, would you react to some Spring High matches in the future?
It’s possible!
@@ErikShojivolleyball That's great to hear. Have a nice weekend!
Idc if they are playing my favorite team (USA) but Japan is always a joy and so fun to watch.
You should watch Japan play against Canada especially the 5th Set it was amazing.
Oh I was there watching in person
@@ErikShojivolleyball Amazing I always dreamed of watching Nishida live I'm his height, I'm playing his position and I'm a lefty to so he is my Idol.

i love ur jacket it looks so cool!
Been loving the videos, being able to see you break down film is so educational and I think has helped my game a ton. Especially now when its hard to find people to play/practice with. Keep up the great work both on the videos and on the national team, were rootin for ya.
Wow thank you so much! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the videos. Keep working!!! 😀
Super informational video! Thanks Erik you are such an inspiration to us.
I hope you watch also the highlight of EGYPT vs JAPAN it was a neck-toneck game.It was insane seriously!
Great video, thank you! This is one of the games that got me watching mens volleyball during quarantine and now I'm hooked (I played but never followed men's)! I love the crowd at games in Japan. Love your commentary :)
Thanks for watching!! 😀
You should do a video reacting to Micha Ma’a!!!
Hi Eric, can you do videos on how improve ones control and serve receive. I've been watching all your videos and it seems that everyone has such good control and serve receives especially by Japan. Please do some videos to teach us how to become a step closer to these players.
Thanks for watching! I’ve made two videos on serve receive techniques and more Coming!
@@ErikShojivolleyball Thanks Eric, hope you and your family stay safe in the pandemic and really hope to see you play soon !!Really enjoy your videos !!
Thanks so much. You as well!
Tsukki is really playing in Japan !
Mamma mia!!!!! Hahah what a great video😲👍👍👍 Erik you did a great work! Keep going😊👏👍
Haruko is starting in Jan in Japan. Can you please analyse their performance? Can you please also give any gym workout tips for libero? Thanks and good luck! I like watching your play. I learn from you lots :)
1:09 yall see nishida’s hand signal?
he was 1 min with the signal. His teammates, the rivals and all Japan saw the signal
@@josuelozanojimenez9204 It’s not like there’s gonna be an earthquake drill or something
he was signaling for the server to serve the 5 area
Youre a legend man.
That's good analysis Erik, well done
Ahh, so cute when u speak EVERY WEEK 😩😍
Dude pls do more then just one set!
Aww I thought this was gonna be the second set of the match
Hey Erik! Thanks for reacting to this match, hope you’ll consider doing set 1 and set 2 as well 😁
Yessss😭
Great video! Thanks! I love watching you! South Florida libero here :)
hi❤️
If I wasn't so tall I could see myself playing as a libero, there's something about defense that I love, just like with spiking it feels like art in a way
love to see your content and hope you grow
Lol, hand passing a jump serve blows my mind too!
in our school, they usually call me "the fat butterfly" because of how i receive and dig. why am i even saying this?
maybe it's because it's MY FAVORITE LIBERO whom i'm saying this... in the future, we will meet in the court toooo and thenn greet youuuuuu
Please react woman Serbia Italy World Championship final that was great😍😍
Yeees, I agreeeeee!
Id love to hear your thoughts on jpn vs canada from world cup '19 and jpn vs bulgaria highlights from vnl '19 as well! Thank you for the video! You pointing out details on a variety of plays makes the experience much more enjoyable (like i didnt even realise the simultaneous split step at 13:50 lol)
I heard that nishida has a UA-cam channel now ,hope you guys could do a collab😎
What's his yt?
@@dask5687 just search yuji nishida UA-cam
Keep it up with the reaction videos!!! I really been loving them!
Also I was wondering if you have any tips for passing float serves over head? Float serves are the death of me T-T
Thanks for watching! Strong hands, strong base and legs, push up and forward with your hands not just forward.
@@ErikShojivolleyball Got it! I'll keep that in mind when I'm back on the courts!
Wooohhh Ishikawa!! 🔥🔥
Japan team has strong defense
Wait aren't they mostly known for their amazing floor defense?
What website are you watching this on? I really prefer this camera angle for watching matches but at the international level I can never get footage from this angle. I'd like to find this match and other matches like it.
It’s a website we use for the national team. So it’s kind of a secret 😅
@@ErikShojivolleyball Noooooo! So I simply have to join the national team then?
Are there any other good sites or UA-cam channels you know have where one can watch games from this back-court camera angle?
@@PsychedelicPenne try vb K Har: ua-cam.com/channels/95Rtoln59sDRUQcv22N_Rw.html
You have to find the national team matches (this guy/gal is Japanese so obv it's all team Japan's games)
@@ShammehoOohoOo thanks! I’ve had this channel recommended to me before, but only the videos were they slap “Haikyuu” in the title and instantly rack up hundreds of thousands of views. I didn’t know they had any other games. Will have to check this out!
@@PsychedelicPenne He/she mostly uploads vids of high school games in Japan, but trust me, they're just as interesting. Lots of Ishikawa ones from when he was still in uni and high school.
we love you omg thanks
Wow only 30 mins ago!!! Great video!!

Thanks! I will be doing a video soon!
I wish you watched the set where ishikawa faked a pipe and set it to nishida. That was masterpiece
Hi!!! I from Philippines ...I want to share that I love playing volleyball i use to play also as a libero...
Who was the one person that disliked?? Loved the video! I just played volleyball yesterday for about 3 hours, just a friendly match. Whenever I had a good receive I just though, thanks Eric Shoji for the tips you give in your videos :)) Keep up the good work!
That’s great! Thanks so much! Keep playing and killing it!

Nishida is a good player indeed.
Hi Eric, where can I watch volleyball match that are shot from behind the court? These videos are very helpful for learning how players receive balls. Thanks😊😊
Unfortunately most matches are shot from the side...but I have access to some matches that have the end line view. Sorry it’s private 🤪 hope you keep watching! 😀
Don’t be sorry, thank you for making all these videos and sharing your knowledge. I really learn a lot from them😄😄
Ishikawa is best in everything

Can I still re-learn Volleyball if I'm 19? Used to play on a club when I was 13 and 14
Of course! One of my past coaches started freshman year in highschool and had many full volleyball scholarships beginning her next year//
yes! there is always room for training
Eric I know you’re a libero but do you ever end up taking swings? Are you a powerful hitter?
Hahaha only in practice. It depends on the day but I’m not terrible 🤪
@@ErikShojivolleyball lol nice. Thanks for answering my rando question :)
Could you watch long beach v. UCLA? I think its cool how TWO players from Long Beach are on the US team
