Man she was really holding back, this was in her rather sad era when she was really putting her emotions through, I'm glad she's happy now. I just hope she can sing these songs with the passion she did here. Coolest chick on the planet, period.
This is one of my favorite Alanis songs, and she does such a beautiful job of singing it live. And is it just me, or does she look (and sound, if you listen to her announce the keyboardist) like she's fighting back tears? That's true passion right there.
I do not know if that actually was the case, but she looked kind of sad in the first chorus. I wouldn't be sureprised if she was about to weep.
She is one of the few, who can sing perfectly in live, not just in a studio. Congrats for her!!!!! ❤️ This song is beautiful!!!

It makes me think of a woman I know and was friends with, who lost her husband to cancer a good many years back. She still grieves him often. She was essentially in the same situation as in this song. She is going on "I as I, and not as we". That's the only reason I most likely will never play this for her, or recommend to her.
In any case, yes, it's a beautiful . sweetly sad song, and one of my favorites by Alanis or anybody else for that matter.

is not about creating a god, and yes is not exactly a crying for noticing but an emotion, if you are getting real strong emotions (wich normally you get from a concert) you want to scream, cry, etc... is a part of beeing a human being
what a performance, she is amazing.
You can see her eyes filling up with this beautiful woman singing a beautiful song and I love songs accompanied with just a lovely piano piece.
this is the best moment of the whole show i think. I love this song in CD so much. and now i so love this live version to death. She got so much emotion in performing the song. I think noone can keep the tear and applause for this emotional performance
I like how quickly the audience identified the song so immediately -- with the first few seconds! Maybe this is the best song on the album.

Alanis is truly one of the most gifted lyricists in the music industry. Not to mention that every album of hers is a journey through her life. I've been listening to her since the JLP days and truly her evolution in all of her albums are remarkable. I think everyone can identify with at least some song of hers. Her performances like this one evokes the true meaning of heartfelt passion to her work and the intimacy of her lyrics. I literally get goosbumps hearing this song everytime.

Hurt people hurt people. My partner is a dark empath meaning they can fake love. I was fooled for 3 years. Were friends for almost 3 years and a couple for 2.5 years. A dark empath is a Narcissus also. Which is the dark triad of a psychopath over the top gigantic ego and Machiavellism. Not as we really captures the pain even in the title. @punishedexistence The rapper she is with is pretty cheesy but he seems like a cool guy through his lyrics (not typical rap lyrics.).
One of her best vocal performances on a track yet I think - and that's really going some! Immense song... makes you stop whatever you're doing or thinking and listen... sign of a classic. Well done Alanis ;)
yeah, same thing happened to me. I used to hate "uninvited" but since i saw her open with that song live 2 weeks ago i loved it.
I can't believe that it's four years since she last toured. I was there then and will be in Manchester for the gig on this tour in June. Really looking forward to it :-)
