Wide receiver contracts are way out of hand compared to quarterbacks, qbs are understandable cuz they run the offense and everything goes through them. Defenses can just double team a wr and take them out of the game.
I mean Dak is a top 8 QB so in 3 years he’s probably going to be down to about the 8th or 9th highest contract🤷♂️ That’s not bad considering the cap number keeps going up. The cowboys having Dak do nothing but win regular season games and division titles. The cowboys without Dak would be pretty pathetic. I think they made the only move they could
I was watching with my Atlanta fan friend, and I told him the week 1 result was expected. You've got a new offense, a QB you bubble wrapped in the preseason recovering from an injury last year, and a Pittsburgh defense used to keeping games under 20 points to have a chance to win. To me, the Falcons winning would've been reliant on that offensive line winning the battle (TJ Watt getting 1v1's is not a formula for success) Kirk not making the rusty mistakes behind said line (the line that gave him no time which was worsened by the fact Kirk clearly does not have any mobility right now) and Justin Fields finally not making the crucial mistakes that led him to being out of Chicago (was not on my bingo card but hey good on you JF). 2/3 of those in Atlantas favor likely could've led to a win, all 3 not being in their favor alongside an incredibly pro Pittsburgh crowd meant this team had no chance at coming away with a W in week 1. For Atlanta to me this means there's no real reason to panic. You had the worst outcome scenario and still were within a TD drive to tie. If these offensive woes persist that's a different discussion entirely but as of right now any negative opinion on Atlanta was a overreaction.

There was not any point in the game where the Steelers looked like they were going to lose. They beat a team that the world predicted would beat them.
6-7 wins for the Pats is looking much more possible than it did two weeks ago. If the Pats can gel well enough by the end of the season and we have Drake Maye starting, we'll just need our tackle in the draft and the sky is the limit going forward.
The Falcons had no answer for Watt. They also ran Cousins out of the pistol which is new for him and he never played in preseason. This loss looked bad for Cousins, but the o-line sucked and the coaches didn't have them prepared, even though the defense didn't give up a TD.

I was confused why everyone was so high on ATL when the Bucs were running it back with a good team
The Panthers at Raiders not being a clear cut gimmee for the Raiders HURTS TO HEAR
Kirk cousins gave the game away to Pittsburgh!
Yeah, right. Are you Joe Montana or Eli Manning?
Here's something that's not an overreaction: Sam Darnold was the best QB in the division this last weekend
Sadly this is true.
Sam Darnold played the Giants pump the brakes
It was the Giants....their D on paper is not terrible....but overall, it was the Giants
Agains the worst team in the league…. Simmer down for a few weeks, then come back and talk.
@@MaRkYWaHoO No the worst team played against the Saints.
As a Bucs fan Thank you and we accept your apology !
Russell reportedly reinjured himself pushing a blocking sled after practice. Leadership involves knowing when/how to act as well as when/how not to act.
You don’t know what you’re talking about He did not reinjure himself. He originally injured himself first day of training camp pushing a blocking sled. That was 5 weeks ago
@@AFL67pitt Thanks. I heard that he hurt himself pushing a blocking sled. I just took the story as given and didn't follow up. Thanks for giving me better info.
brockman really missed this an opportunity here: Tom Brady will come back, as the Raiders Starting QB, once the ownership move is finalized. (Also Tom is a disaster in the booth, the rules against him are strangling his ability to do the job effectively, he will tire of it, and suit up by week 5)
If you really want to get into the nuts and bolts, most teams don't know what their strengths are until week four
After a look at the Panthers schedule, they may be on a run for 0-17 season folks. Exciting! Love the parity in the league!
They want to make up for not having their #1 pick in the draft
How short of memories we have. A team being worst in the NFL two seasons in a row has happened twice in the last decade: the Browns in 2016 (Myles Garrett) and 2017 (Baker Mayfield) and the Jaguars in 2020 (Trevor Lawrence) and 2021 (Trayvon Walker). The sadder part for the Panthers is that they had the #1 pick and _then_ fell to the worst record in the league.
Why would anyone look at Atlanta and think that’s a good roster
Bengals are going to fine. Just wait and see.
They always start slow, I'm not a fan of the Bengals but they will be fine
Contracts and slow reactions all handled?
Before I watch: My Raiders are done. Yet again. The coach we needed beat us soundly on Sunday. But he will hardly be the last.
New coaching staff pending. This season is over.
