Yakutat, Alaska - Spring Steelhead Fishing - 2024

Dylan and I head down to Yakutat, Alaska for the spring steelhead season in May of 2024.
We were lucky as we hit a stretch of good weather, which ended right as we were leaving. In the days after we left, the rain began to fall, the water level of the river rose and the fishing got really tough.
This is our 3rd year fishing the Situk and we finally feel like we are starting to figure out how to fish it. We caught more fish this trip then either of our previous trips, and we met up with Cyle from ‪@wickedalaska‬ to collaborate on fishing strategies.
