All toads are poisonous. They secrete poison from the two glands on the back of their head called the parotid glands. Humans have them to produce saliva, actually. Toad poison is only dangerous if ingested, so it is recommended to never allow your pets such as cats and dogs to come into contact with toads. I have 3 of these. They are called smooth sided toads. Any captive bred toad is INCREDIBLY UNLIKELY to secrete its toxin unless heavily aggrevated. I've never seen one secrete their poison, but I wouldn't shove a toad into a dog's mouth either. Toads are one of the safest poisonous animals you could reasonably care for. The only exception to that might be poisonous insects like butterflies and caterpillars or millipedes. If you're considering any exotic pet, do the proper research and establish a tank with the proper hunsbandry before you get your pet. Frogs and some toads are notoriously difficult to maintain proper humidity and ventilation. Also, things like size and behavior are going to impact how you keep these animals. Some toads are incredibly sedentary, and others are active nocturnal hunters. Arboreal amphibians require a tall cage, while terrestrial amphibians require a long cage, etc. Just make sure you know what you're getting into. It isn't a mammal or domesticated creature, so you have to simulate its natural environment.
It’s debatable because the biggest cane toad ever found was only 6 pounds where as if you watch the full video he put out about these guys there all 5 pounds
