Regarding the “Sam likes food” jokes: according to Jeanette McCurdy (her actress), she struggled with an eating disorder throughout her time on the show, but to the point she was losing teeth due to bulimia. She went to the writers and asked them to cut down on the “Sam likes to EAT” jokes, but they refused.
@@Kadeda Yeeeeaah it wasn't that kinda caricature. Watch some of her podcast or read her book. Sam's character seemed molded around her deepest insecurities and the abuse her mom and Dan put her through.
@@Kadeda was Binge Purge Bulimic, this lasted well past Sam and Cat and was part of the reason she's quit acting. Her mother is also closer to Freddy than Sam's. There's a reason her book is called "why I'm glad my mom is dead" the cover being her holding a Urn filled with Confetti.
From my knowledge, Sam is an aggressive kid with an absentee father, and neglectful, careless mother. Not only that, in the episode where they show a world where Carly was never Sam's friend, Sam ends up in prison (I don't now if she had any criminal charges in the context of the regular show, but it wouldn't surprise me). And along with being incredibly mean and abusive, Sam loves food, while McCurdy had an eating disorder. So even in fiction, McCurdy was forced to endure and act out an exaggeration of the life she actually leads outside of the show. That is horrific beyond belief. Sam's character was always like this, so I doubt they wrote her as some kind of sick joke on McCurdy, but they certainly ignored the suffering they put her through.

10:28-10:30, that right there probably explains why they don’t have guns.
