- 'Chinnamma' from 'Meenaxi' is a thumping number, filled with colours, music and dance, featuring Sukhwinder Singh's voice and the music is directed by A.R. Rahman. Meenaxi is directed by M.F. Husain and the starcast consists of Tabu, Kunal Kapoor and Raghuvir Yadav. The film centers around Yadav, a Hyderabad based novelist who is suffering from writer's block. After five years and no stories he comes across an unconventional muse, Meenaxi played by Tabu.

Everything ‘vulgar’ that happens in a brothel also happens in private homes. Sex workers are regular people man. I rate this in the top rungs of Rehman's compositions. Some sort of an 'X' factor about it which makes the melody just grow on you. Brilliant picturisation as well. Rehman has captured the spirit of the context very well. Superb blend of the rendition with video. Sukhwinder has done full justice to it, as always.
