  • The REAL fastest Krav Maga gun disarming by Israeli Black Belt 5th degree Michael Rüppel.
    In 2007 I showed the Krav Maga disarming technique the first time - today you can find many adaptions of it in the Internet. Most of them will fail because they didn't show the right principles behind my technique.
    That's why I made this video.
    Copying some dance moves in the wrong way is okay, because it’ll not kill you. But especially my Street Defense techniques I show in my classes are made for survival in extreme situations, so it has to be done in the right way.
    Die tatsächlich schnellste Krav Maga Pistolen Entwaffnung von Michael Rüppel, Israelischer Schwarzgurt 5. Grades.
    If you like my work, follow me on my You Toube channel. Thank you very much.

    This all is great, and I like you stressing on the principles. Within these principles you can hit the not with the thumb part of your right hand (when opponent hold gun in right hand), but with opposite side: "pinky" side of your palm. If you do it that way, taken away gun floats smoother in combat grip of your right hand, after which you cycle the slide with left hand which is already on the slide (to clear probable jam), and immediately you put two shots into opponent. This way they train it in special forces. But I like the part when you immediately drew your own gun after disarm.

    The only thing I found wrong in this explanation is that you load the weapon once you have disarmed the attacker. That's one thing I learned from another video (by Ryan Hoover). You don't know that pistol, you don't know if it's charged, if it's fake, etc. Just disarm and run away or throw the weapon away (although I'm not sure if this would be a good idea. Maybe use its solid body to hit the attacker, or use that time when the other is empty handed to deploy a knife in case you have one).
    Good explanation though, I like the thumb position when it comes to bend the wrist.

    Could you please show the same, but the attacker is holding gun properly with two hand...like it should. Thanks for your clips, I would like to hear you helding seminar here in Helsinki for puplic transportation drivers and workers. Offer your seminar directly to HSL(Helsingin Seudun Liikenne). Vielen Dank...

    The index finger is definitely the most risky disarm to do being that you could accidentally pull the trigger and shoot somebody that was not intended to be shot.

    This will only work if the assailant is point blank, holding the pistol in that manner and has no intention of shooting you. How often will someone actually hold a gun like that to someones head and just threaten them at that distance. It's either going to be a mugging with someone concealing the gun at belt level, waving it around like a gangster or in an awkward position or if in a combat situation bullets are already flying right? The problem with all of these disarming videos is that it will only work in about 0.1% of situations with the exact right conditions. Still one of the more interesting demonstrations and this chap has fast reactions :)

    I'm quick to call out bullshit. And ofcourse disarming a handgun in a real situation is something you will probably never be able to do even if you try. But if you have no other options available and you are sure the aggressor will eventually shoot you, then this is the most proper technique I can think of.

    • @avibm948
      @avibm948 2 роки тому

      Michael had thousands of hours of real disarming simulations where the attacked tries to pull his gun. it won't work in all situations but with so much experience if the attacker is very close to him I bet he will disarm him in the majority of the cases. Michael did state that a knife disarm is a different story and at the majority of the times you will get cut and injured. Michael would rather disarm a gun than knife disarm. My coach was Smuel Raviv who was also trained by Michael's coach Dennis Hanover the great master of Denis Survival. The technique evolved since.

    Very smooth-i started disarms the old way in KM where you grab the barrel pushing it down and towards the aggressor --striking him and then grabbing the hammer from underneath- your way is faster-thanks.

    • @richdixon
      @richdixon 9 років тому

      +Richard Luntz The old way in KM of pinning the gun to the body of the attacker has a bad flaw in that the attacker can use his core, twisting his torso, to turn the barrel back toward you. That actually uses the principle of rotation, a KM staple, to work against the defender. The defender must keep moving to the dead side of the gun and keep it pinned to the attacker's body. In my school's laboratory, this is a much better option.
