Incredible that this man composed “Imagine” & “Jealous Guy” in 1971 and almost ten years later after 5 years of house-husbandry retirement, he gave us this masterpiece statement on enjoying the simple things in life without caring what the outside world thinks. He was a free man. And he shared his newfound freedom with his fans. And then he was gone having left us this beautiful message

Он не ушел, его убили какие то сволочи. Из чего надо сделать вывод,если хочешь быть свободным, то свою свободу надо уметь охранять и защищать,это простые вещи и их давно пора понять.

John Lennon was truly a man of peace. He accepted people as they were, not what they should be or what they could be. He loved to he loved even if others may not have accepted interracial relationships. If more people today were like John, it would indeed be a better world. Sad to say, this world is going to hell in a hand basket because of the decisions that people choose to make. It could be such a beautiful world if we could eliminate hatred and if more people became humanitarians. Peace and love Laura

This song came out in 1980 on the Double Fantasy album. It was out for maybe a month or two when John was taken from us. The radio couldn't get enough of the song back then. And neither could John's fans. Even those that didn't like John's music wanted to hear this all the time. I was 17 then. Now, I'm 60 and after 43 years, I find the song still has meaning. You're still missed John. RIP.

Jesus said, "I tell you the truth no one will see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me." For God so loved the world that He give His only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the World through Him. For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord, and All who call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. " If you want to be sure of Heaven and avoid the other place below say the following prayer sincerely from your heart." Lord Jesus I repent and am sorry for my sins forgive me. I forgive all who have offended me. Come into my heart and save me. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and baptise me with your Holy Spirit. Fulfill your plan and purpose in my life. "I recommend you read John's Gospel especially chapter 3.Gbu.John 3v3v22,John 14v6.

As I grow older (41 at the moment), this song takes on deeper meaning. I see many people struggling and fighting so hard for the things they think they need, the things they believe will define and complete them, and yet I feel no need to struggle so hard for things that ultimately mean so little.
My hope is that with time, others will see that all we really need to pursue is inner happiness.

I so love this song, so many memories. This song illustrates that John was going through all the changes in life that we all go through, but on a much bigger scale. To go from the member of the most famous band ever to being a regular dad must of quite the challenge, but he seemed to adapt to it well and seemed genuinely happy. Sean was so loved by his papa. Blessings to all.

It still makes me feel sick thinking about that news today, the disbelief, pain and anger. And I was a kid who never even met him! But that was the power and charisma of John Lennon, so many felt personally bereft. He was here such a short time, only half his natural life. Yet he touched many millions of people with his vision and his music. I'm just glad he had joy in his personal life with his wife Yoko and their little boy, and his elder son Julian who he was making plans to see more of. This is such a bittersweet video, if only because John was so happy, deeply in love with Yoko and Sean, and the whole experience of being a father, only to have it all wiped away for nothing, by a nothing - a disturbed person who can never fathom who and what he took away from John’s family and friends, and all of those who appreciated his talents. I really hope that it gives comfort and peace to Yoko and Sean as it’s such a testament to how much they were treasured. For their sake, I’m so glad that they took these home movies of their time together, and I am grateful that Yoko shared a little bit of their lives together. She didn’t have to, but she did, and we, his fans, can see how the lyrics of the song really were John at peace.

Here I am, 41+ years after Lennon was assassinated, listening to a song that was recorded one month before he was assassinated and it has always been one of my favorites. I can relate to it now in my retirement years. It's hard to imagine how many millions of people have never heard or or heard of it. But that's their loss, not mine. I was blessed to be alive throughout the era of the Beatles and their musical accomplishments as solo artist.

His music will never die and as others have said, it makes me sad when I see this guy and think to myself he has been dead 43 years almost, it's another lifetime ago. But he is so very relevent still today.

I'm about your age. I was fifteen and had just bought the album and then he was killed. I was too young to have a crush or any of that but I started listening to the Beatles, thanks to my best friend;s brother who was 10 years older than we were, meaning 6 years old. So in my own way I did grow up with the Beatles, but John Lennon always pushed the boundaries. I still have the album and I still remember crying when he was killed. This also is my favorite song from the album. We live in such crazy times; just slow down and enjoy.

For the other half of the sky
    Woman, I can hardly express,
My mixed emotion at my thoughtlessness,
After all I'm forever in your debt,
And woman, I will try to express,
    My inner feelings and thankfulness,
For showing me the meaning of success,
    Ooh, well, well,
    Ooh, well, well,
    Woman, I know you understand
The little child inside the man,
Please remember my life is in your hands,
And, woman, hold me close to your heart,
However distant don't keep us apart,
After all it is written in the stars,
    Ooh, well, well,
    Ooh, well, well,
    Woman, please let me explain,
I never meant to cause you sorrow or pain,
So let me tell you again and again and again,
I love you (yeah, yeah) now and forever,

God, how I miss John....Beautiful video and song...left me in tears. John let it all go the last several years of his life and was a loving Dad to Sean and that time must have been the happiest for him, Yoko and Sean. I wished he had that bond with Julian, but unfortunately, circumstances of life prevented that. ...This being the eve of the 37th anniversary of John's passing (December 8th, 1980), is always an emotional time for me...and all who loved John and the Beatles...they were a huge part of my life growing up and will never be forgotten. That Christmas back in 1980, my sister gave me the Double Fantasy album...I had really wanted it for Christmas that year. I still have it in perfect condition and I will treasure it always. God Bless your beautiful soul John. I aspire to do my part so that we all can live together in peace, love and harmony, as one...it would be the greatest tribute we could ever give John

Tragic is an understatement. The idea that one man stole so much away from so many, from the WORLD, its discouraging and leaves a sick feeling in my knotted stomach. The beauty and ever so unique ideology or, ideals that were snuffed out at such an early age of a man who had endless talent and devotion, passion...truly breaks my heart. I believe his untimely death was government/CIA sanctioned, personally. But despite my 'conspiracy theory' I'm sure we can all believe and agree that it was an unspeakable sin and crime against humanity, and much more, to take this brilliant and innocent man's life.
