The Gospel, which means the Good News is the news that God Almighty, the Creator came in the flesh as Jesus Christ to take away the sin of the world. The one God is a trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Son came and laid down his own life to save ours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for our redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him. John 1:1,14 KJV In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD. [14] And THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us, 1 John 3:8 KJV He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Isaiah 9:6 KJV For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty GOD, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and THE WORLD KNEW HIM NOT. John 3:18 KJV He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
They lost the battle because the guy stole gold and silver for himself.....once they killed him and his family they were victorious. Not much different than people throwing someone overboard to calm the sea because the gods were upset.
You make what happened sound like pagan tribal culture actions. Nothing could be further from the truth. You need to look at the situation in the context of what God's overall purposes were for his chosen people and why.
@@CartoonWorks1 Then tell me why. And how old were Achan's grandchildren? Also, the purpose derives from how heaven was seemingly not perfect, angels rebelled for NO really clear reason or gain, but got to keep powers, and to set foot, upon this world? Where Eve had also rendered most humans as 'natural men' or 'spiritually dead', by default? (many claim) And then get to pose as other gods? To a naive, crippled species?
And thats why kids you dont have to read the bible. Really bad ethics and morals but they go after your personal ethics and morals if you say you dont believe in those fair/savage tails
You’re telling me - you are the author of morality and can see the beginning from the end? You also know your own heart and others hearts better than God would know them? You set a standard of morality or ethics by a standard you yourself cannot keep, not that of your world view. You profess a fairy tale yet you believe in a post modernistic worldview where ALL is true, yet only the God of the bible isn’t. Ask yourself- not ask me. Why do you think like this. Short answer- read your Bible and you’ll find out. Those who profess to be wise will become fools and do not think your pride will get you anywhere.
That is a very strong accusation against an animation that is taken directly from the Bible, a book that has stood the test of authenticity and truth for thousands of years. Explain yourself.
@@CartoonWorks1 The animation is great and all but the Bible itself doesn't seem to make sense ,,, God the father is very cruel and self centered and selfish and unforgiving
@@arianmahmood7919 I agree that on the surface this story doesn’t seem to make sense and God seems to be cruel. You have to look at it in the context of what God’s purpose was. I couldn’t begin to explain it all here but I did some research in the previous books in the Bible and gained an understanding of a few things. God chose the Israelites, not because they were better than anyone else but because he wanted to make himself known to the people around them, and the people who lived in the promised land before the Israelites were not innocent. They sacrificed their children i n fire, and practiced sorcery and sexual deviancy. This evil goes all the way back to Noah’s son Ham disrespecting his father in Genesis 9. God had just washed the earth clean of evil and started over with Noah and his family. Ham wasted no time in making fun of his father because he laid drunk and naked in his tent. Because dishonoring your parents often becomes multigenerational God’s curse for Ham (and it was a consequence, not just a curse) was passed down to his son Canaan. The promised land God called the Israelites to conquer was also known as the “land of Canaan.” This multigenerational sin isn’t just limited to the Canaanites. In fact we are ALL guilty of all kinds of sin that has been passed on to us by our forefathers. Romans 6:23 says, “The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” When we place our trust in Jesus, we are free from judgment for our sin and we can have a guilt free relationship with God the Father. Jesus’ lineage came through the Israelites. God chose these people to carry the seed of his Son, our Messiah. Once again, it wasn’t because they were so special, but because these were the people he happened to choose to carry his seed. He protected these people, gave strict laws for these people, sent these people to where he wanted them to live and blessed these people. God was making a statement through these people. Anywhere along the line the people of Ai or Jericho, or Canaan, or any of the people of the promised land could have turned away from their sin and reached out to the God of Israel and have been saved from destruction. Rehab the prostitute did that, and not only was she and her family saved, but she became part of the lineage of Christ Jesus. She was David’s great grandmother. You too can be saved for all eternity and have a personal relationship with Christ Jesus if you turn from your sin and place your trust in him.
@@CartoonWorks1 What authenticity? Why do you not tell these good people how old Achan's grandchildren were, too? And why this was more urgent to sort out with a capital sentence, than entire slave trades, wars, schisms, and a blood libel, post 400 AD? That's more a probing, than a strong accusation, mind. Now, who prompted David to number Israel in a census, and when was Tyre utterly destroyed, and what date was the Exodus? Assuming one singular event.
@@arianmahmood7919 "God the father is very cruel" No, God isn't cruel. You see, YHWH is a god of love and mercy, but He is also a god of justice and vengeance; He is a god who punishes and judges evil. Like, if a murderer gets brought to a judge, and the judge sentenced that murderer to death, do you think the judge is "being cruel"? Of course not. When God kills people in The Bible, it's because those people are evil and disobedient, and they deserved it. Like in this video, it's Achan's fault that he died; God already warned Israel not to take anything from Jericho, but Achan disobeyed God, and as a result, he and his family gets stoned to death. "But why did God kill Achan's family!??? That's unfair!!", well, Achan's family probably helped Achan hide the treasures, so they were also responsible for the act of disobedience. Every single action that God does in The Bible is justified.
Thank you so much for illustrating these two chapters. It really is appreciated. Amen 🙏
This is awesome. My Sunday morning Bible Study class is studying the book of Joshua and used this in studying chapter 7-8.
So HOW OLD were Achan's grandchildren, when they shared in his fate, by the way?
Thank you! This helped me understand the chapters better. God bless you :)
