Thanks for another great review and, yes, you did pronounce it correctly. It is named after The Mojave Tribe, a Native American tribe who live in the Mojave Desert along the Colorado River. The tradition of naming U.S. Army helicopters after Native Americans was once an official regulation, but it's no longer in place. However, the tradition continues. 😁
Nice fair review but unless Tamiya decide to make a CH-37 this is what we have , i built one when it originally came out and i don't remember any great struggles building it as is , the kit just needs more detail but thank goodness we have it it kit form .
Nice review Jen. 👌 I have a slight leaning towards unusual helicopter kits, especially Russian versions. Never seen this model though but it definitely ticks my boxes! Probably not going to see another version anywhere soon, so at 19 quid, seems like a no brainer! Ive got some old mpn and smer kits of Russian choppers and they are pretty bad, but with a bit of care and skill they make decent representation's. I'm sure this will be much better than those! Hope you're doing ok. Take care 👍👊
I like these quirky flying machines. 😍
It's nice that SH made this kit as it's a less well known helicopter used in Vietnam, it's just asking to be super detailed with a full cabin!
Cracking looking kit - if I was going to do this one, I'd have to do my research and scratch build an interior with cargo too.
Nice review, Jenn, can see the origins of the sea king, blackhawk and maybe the skycrane in that fuselage
Definitely. I think it was the Wiki page that mentioned the initial prototype for the Skycrane was made out of one of these

I always liked that they did that, it's a shame if it has stopped now

I do wish they would remake some of their old kits with their new technology...
(The Barracuda for instance.)
The Mojave looks like a Helicopter version of the Bristol Freighter.
Ha ha, yes!

I know what it reminds me of - looks just like a mudskipper!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasum heli , never seen a model Mojave ! (Vietnam is my era .) looks sort of like a huge Wessex in shape ?
Exellent presentation and a very unsual subject.
