@@jamiewp I'm trying to discover how to defer Google Analytics on first load because it is slowing down first-paint and more for a lower PS Insites speed score. Any advice? Thanks!
Thank you so much! I love these videos. You hit the right tone between explaining clearly and not talking to me as if I'm stupid.... Thank you! You are really helping me a lot. I'm not a designer or developer by training and these videos is how I am managing do do my website.
Thank you for this one and the other videos. I'm rebuilding from Divi to Gutenberg and find your videos quite useful and inspiring. Looked at blocks earlier but now with full site editing it is time to build without page builders. However, the learning curve is steep in this one and it comes down to reinventing how to do the same thing in a new way. Just building a sidebar with stickiness the way you explained saved me so much time.
FSE have great opportunities. Im just created page with two sidebars (99% classic wp theme have only 1 sidebar) which contains sticked widgets. Thanks for the video
Thank you. Love feeding the kitty cat. I think I will test a sidebar for my site and start with the individual posts. Always something new to learn with you!
Thanks for the video. What if I don't have the "Editor" Beta in my appearance section? I don't know how to create the templates. Thank you very much for your help!
Great video! However, there is one problem in the Sticky Block plugin - the PUSHUP ELEMENT settings do not work. The attached block runs over the footer
@@jamiewp i have a custom post type for cars. I want to add filter: Search - to search keywords from post meta(Car Name) Dropdown list - filter by post meta(Brand and Car Type)
@@jamiewp depends on the way you define the word "dynamic". I thought about the pre-Gutenberg times where you could dynamic sidebars with dynamic_sidebar() and save page relative sidebars in the database with a custom post type and build a relationship to the post it's on with a custom meta attribute. I know that you could still use this with Gutenberg but it seems kind of not "Gutenbergish". Do you know about any way to solve this problem?
Sorry to be a dunce again (still) but you always have menu items that I don't have. EG "Site editor" is nowhere to be found. I always have to open pages or posts to find anything. I am on WP 6.1.1 and latest Gutenberg.
From WP documentation "The Template Editor is only available if your site is using a block theme or a classic theme that has enabled the Template Editor on the backend."
Jamie, you have just answered all my prayers. Thank you.
Fab, that's great to hear Gordon 😀
Thank you, now understand sidebar, we want top bar menu, responsive menu and sticky menu
Great idea 👍

Hi Sandra, that's so lovely to hear 😊 thank you
Thank you. There needs to be more great content out there about Gutenberg. Thanks for a helpful video, you're a gem.
My pleasure 😇

I'm only two minutes in and you answered a couple of basic questions I've had as I start to move on from the Classic Editor. Thanks!
That’s great to hear 👍

Thanks Jamie. Appreciate your doing this one. Much needed. Loved the sticky!
thank you 👍
Your so enthusiastic with Gutenberg and that makes me feel the same way too. Thank you
thanks Norlyn 👍 There's so much cool stuff on the horizon with Gutenberg, it's hard to keep up atm - but that's why im here 😀

Hey Jamie! THanks so much for this! FInally a good and in-depth one guide! Just wondering, how we can disable the sidebar on mobile?
I suspect that all this magic with Full Site Editing is done by the cat. And you...well, you just filming. ;)

You’ll only see that if you are using a block theme
Thank you.🎉

Update - problem was solved. solution is to write pushup element correctly

Your About page scored a +96 here in the usa for page speed.
Nice work!
Are you running Autoptimize?
Your videos are great, cheers!
Fab tks Joe 👍 If you mean my website, then i'm running wp rocket atm.
@@jamiewp Cool. Thanks for making videos where we can actually go check out your running examples. Nice feature. Cheers again!
Can you save post templates?
Hi, any idea how to do Sidebar Filters on Query Loop block?
Are there any specifics that you want to filter by ?
@@jamiewp
i have a custom post type for cars.
I want to add filter:
Search - to search keywords from post meta(Car Name)
Dropdown list - filter by post meta(Brand and Car Type)
And how the sidebars are actually dynamic like in "I can change their content on every page"?
If you are using a block theme , then yes :)

With this design ad brokers won't be able to offer sidebar ads to bidders.
