Mi favorita es una con viola da gamba que escuche hace años, pero esta tambien es muy buena, mejor incluso que la de Yoyo Ma quien creo que estaba pasando un mal dia en los Proms... XD
Quick question: Do you “pluck” the G and C string before playing them to avoid accidentally playing a harmonic? To avoid squeaking? Why does it look like you “pre-vibrate” the string before playing it? I would love to know.
That's actually a quite commom technique amongst string players; you 'pluck' the string for better articulation and you start vibrating before you actually play the note so the sound won't be 'dead when you do, it helps to project the sound better.
Cellist and bassists mostly do this due to the greater relative weight of their lower strings. Especially if you are playing the note loudly, if you do not get it vibrating a little before you bow it, it will delay the string's sounding when you want it to
Santiago very amazing love it so much. You said you got this tailpiece and it eliminated your f# wolf-tone, I have a f# wolf-tone on my instrument. I was wondering what string it was on and if you could send me the info on where you purchased the tailpiece thanks. Again you are amazing and I really enjoy listening to you.
❤ *Спасибо , Каньон! Вы мастер!*
Words are inadequate to describe how good this is. I would love to hear you play the rest of the suite. Thanks, from another cellist.
Such a clean and well executed performance. Santiago is wonderful cellist both in technique and interpretation.
0:27 - Prelude
5:14 - Sarabande
8:27 - Gigue
I hope you have served them 😉
I never get tired to listen Santiago and his virtuoso performance
La mejor versión que he escuchado.

Bravissimo! seria muito bom se você tivesse ganhado no papel o Tchayckovisk, mas por mérito você foi o grande Vencedor! sucesso*
Santiago got 2 place and the audience award, which I was in. This is winning, can’t do much better than that.
Wow, marvelous! :-)

He currently has another tailpiece which is better
Amazing music making! BRAVO!
Hey Santiago, how do you like the new tail-piece?
John Stuart thank you! I really love the tailpiece, completely enhanced the overall sound of my cello and got rid of a very annoying f# wolf-note!
If you don't mind me asking, what is it and where can I get one? Thanks!
