The "women didn't have the right to vote" thing just drives me insane. Voting was never considered a right by the founding fathers. You can say that's irrelevant to today, and that's fine, but that ignores the basis of the argument. NO ONE had the right to vote, and if you want to be a semantic asshole, yes, that included women. Voting was a state thing, and it was up to each individual state to determine who could vote. Usually it had something to do with owning land.
Yess....and only people who owned large sums of land could vote, then over time they allowed lesser land owners to vote and so on....so u and I were all only recently allowed to vote according to that same time line

A. Being denied entry to another country is not the same thing as being denied employment
B. Right now the Biden administration has an open border with no such requirements.
C. School vaccines are not the same thing as the experimental treatment fast tracked by the Trump administration. Which by the way everyone was saying they wouldn't trust it but, for some reason now that Biden is in office those same people have flipped completely.

I have been SCREAMING this into the void for 2 YEARS. As an immunocompromised individual with serious asthma (who had COVID, and survived) STOP FUCKING SPEAKING FOR ME. The isolation and mask mandates (feeling suffocated every time I went into public) did more hard to me than the actual illness did. YOU ARE NOT PROTECTING PEOPLE WHO HAVE RESPITORY CONDITIONS BY MAKING IT OBJECTIVELY HARDER FOR THEM TO BREATHE.

It wasn't that much longer ago that men couldn't vote without a property requirement. People forget that.
there's an argument to make that suffrage of land owners in lieu of universal suffrage in general. The problem with democratic elections is that it s predicated in the notion the entire populace is vested and informed enough to make a rational decision. When you allow even the most underprivileged people to vote, it not only increases the chances you get voters who are uninformed about the implications of their respective votes, but are also more susceptible to populism and demagoguery. Making sure only land owners have voting rights better ensures that those who have a more vested interest in the overall prosperity of the country have greater say. Though i also see flaws in that system that could easily lead to technocracies or oligarchies, which is comparably undesirable. All in all, i dont think theres any perfect solution to any of this and all systems of governance will eventually crumble into despotism.
They don't even mention women didn't want the right to vote bc you had to sign up for the military draft to qualify and they wanted no part in the war.

As for the school vaccine mandates, (MMR, polio and the other kids vaccines) parents in a lot of states and school districts can sign liability waiver that absolves the school of any responsibility of catching a disease on the vaccine requirements, if the kid does not have the vaccines.

That's literally how Jim Crow worked. State governments required separate counters, WC's and water fountains, for blacks and businesses enforced it.
