Thanks for checking out the video! If you still need to get your own domain to use with Microsoft 365, check out this video on how to buy a domain with GoDaddy: ua-cam.com/video/FU4PHNMG9DI/v-deo.html
Very well done and helpful video. But I need to understand how this is different from just using the hosted domain name's admin email as your account in an Outlook imap account?
It's still possible to use other email clients. But by default, you may find some email protocols are restricted in Microsoft 365. The best experience will always be with Outlook/Outlook on the Web though.
The BIG question is what are the implications if considering ‘migrating’ an existing domain (no website) with years of emails for several email accounts. Will this wipe all the old emails, how do you migrate?
So I have a domain registered with Network Solutions. I am sick of them and their dodgy business practices and exorbitant cost. Is it possible to transfer the registration to Microsoft?
In order to do this you must have purchased MSFT Business. I’ve been told that there is another process to take for MSFT 365 Personal. I already own a domain. HELP
With one subscription, you get one mailbox. On that mailbox, you can create multiple email aliases but the mail will be delivered to one mailbox. Does that make senes? docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/email/add-another-email-alias-for-a-user?view=o365-worldwide
@@RussellSmith I have multiple employees with different emails all created in crazy domains - I have one subscription (business standard) with MS - Will their emails all go to one email? What do I need to do? Who can assist with this? Thanks
Either I am growing old and becoming dumber or they just made this as difficult as possible. That is why I am here and now let me see if I am really dumb or Microsoft made this difficult. This is supposed to be intuitive. But nope there is no where mentioned in the setup something like "DNS records to be added in your domain DNS" Adding a domain was intuitive. I have added by domain but I just cannot find the settings that is mail mx records which was so easy when I was using Gmail. I still have those dns records which I did all by myself many years ago till it was not free anymore.

i bought a domain from microsoft 365 and point it to website server, but it's not HTTPS, how to i add https to it?
With what account did you login to the tenant before connecting the domain? Can it just be any microsoft account?
1:25 - he stated an admin account but that can be a little "generic" as you want to log in with a Global Account to add a Domain
When will u upload again
After doing these steps is it still possible to use my other email clients or must I now use Outlook for all email communication? Thanks!

It's a complete mess! Do not use Microsoft for it!
So is there any use for Godaddy after this? Or is microsoft doing everything now?
Microsoft doesn't do domain registration. GoDaddy does though, so yes.
Suggestion: State in the title that this is only for GoDaddy users.
Thank you saved me 7 minutes, I need to transfer my domain I made on iCloud to my outlook 365 buisness
Love the video... But what if I am using an online exchange server and no local host. How does this change the setup? thanks again
Thanks! This video was about your situation exactly. I.e. Exchange Online.
Can I create multiple email addresses with one subscription ( business standard) with no extra charge?

I bought a domain off of Squarespace. Will this still work with Office 365?
Just migrate the domain to a o365 instance.
I think Mark is right. You'll need to have migrate the domain so it can be used with O365.
Interesting. Gotta check this out.
when i click admin i just opens my godaddy account, hope you see this comment, i would really need help fast
Why aren't you uploading much nowadays, sir?
New job and vacation! But I hope to upload a video soon.

Such video only on MS website, waste of time, needed for custom domain general setup not such interconnected allies company
you should specify witch 365 one should have to be able to do this. with basic you can't and your video is worthless for it
