Absolutely brilliant!!! Clear instructions. I've been to IT Support for over 20 years, and my employer rely with printer vendors to service old printers. With the lost of printer warranty caused printer service + device replacement is "Sky High to the bone (might as well buy a new printer)", this tutorial helped me to boost my interest and try.... and it worked. The printer had paper jam, Avery "Easy Peel" rolled to the fuser roller. Following this tutorial helped me solve problem of my client and save hundreds of dollars. Amazing. THANK YOU to the person or team who made this.
Great Videos. I have replaced the two rollers and they have too much tension when reasembly the presure springs, its hard to move the roles with hand, may i do somthing wrong?. BrotherHL3150 Thanks
Thank you! I had an issue thay i thoight was related to the belt unit, so replaced thay and it still persisted. Turns out that a paper jam (and violent extraction) caused one of the claws to get embedded in the heated roller and chewed it up. Now i can replace just that part!
It was while watching this video that I realised my wife and I had left out what turned out to be a very important screw during a previous repair mission.
The left 2 inches of a page fades out. When I use a IR sensor, the left edge of the upper roller is about 10deg cooler. I am ready to replace the fuser after having replacing a lot of other components. Any other suggestions? Video is really helpful.
I bought a Fuser Unit from Albi Express. A possible issue involving voltage. I’m in the USA where we use 115v My old fuser has 2 WHITE WIRES on it but the new fuser unit has a BLUE and WHITE wire like yours in your video. The fuser I bought may be for a 230v application? There is no tag on. the end that states 115v like on my old fuser. Your thoughts?
Hi. I bought a replacement heat roller as mine was damaged. Unfortunately, I was clumsy with the lamp and broke it. My printer is the HL-3150 CDW. Is it possible to buy a spare lamp and would you have a link. I've been searching but can't find it online. Many thanks.
Can any toner be used in any cartridge? I have three brother printers, can I buy brother toner and use it for all three or do I actually need to get three different types of toner specific to each one?
Good morning viandant5, I have a brother MFC9340CDW, when I turn it on it shows the message "CLOSE THE TOP COVER", you would be so kind as to tell me how to solve that fault or share a link that can help me. Thank you very much for your attention
Hi. I have a brother 2130, it makes 3 fingers faint from the right on the paper. I opened it and cleaned the knife and it didn't fix. There is also a 3-finger dust-free part on the magnetic roller under the blade, is it because of this? There's dust everywhere else. How do I fix this?
I followed the video and found that there are bumps in the black roller and that is probably the cause of our printed paper coming out with bumps and indentations. I re-assembled the MFC 9340 so that we could print while I was waiting to get the replacement parts. I keep getting the code "Print unable 05" . I shut down power as told and wait the 15 minutes but get the same condition. I was going to dis-assemble and re-assemble but before I do, do you have any suggestions? Also in another of your videos you you warn of bootleg fusers being sold. I clicked you link to buy but is this a company that doesn't ship to USA?
Print unable 05 warns you that there is a mechanical problem inside the printer, I think it's a good idea to disassemble the fuser again. The videowith the warning of bootleg fusers being sold I think it's not one of mine videos
I have just cleaned 2 printers. After reassembling they have both come up with the error UNABLE TO PRINT 05 which I believe is to do with the thermistor. resetting doesn't work nor does/turning off /on any advice?
It could be due to a fuser failure, therimotor or something else, or a paper jam, or a paper path sensor. Resetting will be useless if the machine has problems
Did you find a way to fix this? I've got the same issue after following the tutorial and now reassembling 3 times, verifying everything is in order. There were no issues like this before following the tutorial.
Perhaps you were heavy handed removing the little red and white wire clips on the RT hand side and damaged the little circuit board like i did. I tried removing the white cable by pulling the clip holder and broke the solder underneath. Tried to re-solder but failed. Purchased a replacement (LV0889). Fingers crossed

I replaced my fuser (both brown and black) for my Brother MFC-9130CW using these instructions. Thank you. It wasn't easy but it worked.
Brilliant instructions which enabled me to remove a paper wrapped tightly around the fuser.
great instructional video. easy to follow , short, sweet and to the point. thank you
Thanks for the video. This was the help I needed to get the lower fuser roller out so I could replace it.
THANKS YOU GUYS, YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!
Thank you. Had to replace my fuser unit and this helped me do it. Went without any issues.
Hi, I’m having trouble locating a fuser unit for my HL 3170. Where did you get one from? Thanks for any help.
And the Side thermistor is about 2" at the 2:00 position from it.
Very clear info... is there a fuser reset if replacing the fuser?
WHich machine?
Great Videos. I have replaced the two rollers and they have too much tension when reasembly the presure springs, its hard to move the roles with hand, may i do somthing wrong?. BrotherHL3150 Thanks
no, the rollers usually are hard to move

Fantastic! Thank you for taking the time to make this video.
I believe that was the thermostat you cleaned. The thermistor is about 6" to the right of it.
Double fantastic! Thanks so much for your priceless help.

If you have already replaced the toner cartridge without any improvement, probably the problem is the fuser

it depends. often brother toners are similar

There should be a sensor in the hole the tab of the cover enter. May be it's defective

Yes, probably the problem is there. If not damaged you can clean the roller with a soft cloth
This was brilliant. Where do I buy a replacement unit in the UK? Brother were as good as useless when I rang them.
Amazon has it, or ebay

My HL-3140CW is keep jaming after it prints half of a paper, paper sticks in the red part of the fuser unit, is it something to do?
I think the fuser rollers are worn, or the paper fingers are dirty
@@viandant5
