    This video has been so helpful for me! I watched it halfway through 2 weeks ago and then I got distracted and forgot to finish watching it BUT I remembered the tea!! I have a thyroid condition and sometimes it kicks me in the head lol and I get really THIN HAIR. So for two weeks or so I've been using very strong black tea in my deep condition treatment (I even part my hair and plop the tea bags on my scalp and leave them there for an hour or so) and it has made a HUGE difference! I'm really excited to try ashwagandha on my scalp since you mentioned it helps with hormonal changes. Thank you so much! And congratulations!

      How do you incorporate onion juice/rice water into your ayurvedic hair regimen?

  • @kekeesan
    @kekeesan 3 роки тому +30

    I used onion juice last year when we first went into quarantine since l was home everyday and didn't have to be around anyone or worry about the smell. I used it 3 times a week. I would put it on at night, put a plastic cap on and go to bed. I would get up and wash it it off in the morning. I swear l saw a ton of hair growth. The only down side was the smell. I have locs, so they really retained the smell. Even once l washed my hair, l could still smell some of the onion smell. I didn't really care because l was home everyday but it does linger. I also used the onion juice on my eyelashes and eyebrows. My lashes grew like crazy and my eyebrows filled in completely. The only downside was the onions near your eyes does sting. But it was worth it to get the desired results, after a while l got used to it.

      I cry when I cut onions. I can't imagine putting it near my eyes... :( Happy it worked for you.
      Regarding the smell, I agree so much. It seems like it goes away when you shampoo, but it comes back whenever water comes in contact with your scalp or hair.

    Girl you look fabulous! Your makeup is on point! Your video are what get me through the week. They are full of awesome information. With the onion juice, i use i regular onion with 2 cloves of garlic and boil it. And usually put my pre-poo in the night before ( or about 3 hours) then i would massage my scalp. I found this part help a lot, if you can put a hot hat over your head or under hooded dryer. It like hair on point. I have been doing it since January. And i notice the shine, my winter shedding is cut back to normal. Like damn!! But consistency is key! Then follow that up with the black Africa shampoo that my girl Ms. Proverbz mention and did a video on. Ladies, those two things are amazing... then you deep conditioner. This awesome lady has made my hair journey liveable. Like it do able.
    Curly Proverbz you are the most amazing person and my god continue bless you and family. Thank you so much for all you done and share with us. You are one special lady. 💜😊😊😚👑🌟🌟🌟🌹

    MamaProverbs may I say the time has flown...you look AMAZING...pray you and baby, daughter and husband are doing well. I use your black soap recipe and LOVE it...I have been doing blk tea, green tea and hibiscus tea rinsed for a while now and they certainly are game changers for shedding hair. I also use rice water as a leave in, but I have to admit that the real game changer has been the diy henna spritz hair absolutely loves it. I had been reluctant to try henna however after using it to color my hair I decided it's ok if I end up with a reddish tint to my hair. Not sure if my hair is progressing as I think my hair growth is slow, but I am in the challenge and will post pics on your Instagram. Thank you for the this video. Take care and Blessings

    • @justKKB
      @justKKB 4 роки тому +1

      @@shannonarmstrong6364 it is a slow process but it worked. I used it every week on wash day like a prepoo. Over several.months (like 6) I saw the hair at my temples, which had begun thinning for no apparent reason, begin to fill back in. I don't use a ton of tension and didn't get styles like box braids so couldn't figure out why the hair there was getting see through. But slowly, the onion juice worked. I only recently started using it again (it's been about a month) exactly the same way. I never tried it as an oil--the once a week juice and adjusting how I dealt with my hair in those areas worked well enuf.

      Curly Proverbz As always, love the tips. THANK YOU for finally convincing me to get fully on board and take a ride on the “henna train” I’m LOVING it. My hair seems thicker and stronger already and I’ve only done so far, two full treatments and one gloss. It’s kind of hard to believe this humble dried leaf did this but it did. You were dead right all this time but was too scared to try it. I found out about a seldom talked about Ayurvedic herb, Ziziphus Spina Christi (Christ’s Thorn Jujube) that’s used as a shampoo and body cleanser. What little I’ve found sounds amazing because it’s supposed to thicken the hair too? I bought some but haven’t used it yet because it supposed to be difficult to get washed out of the hair. If you know anything about would you please share with us? Thank you!!

    Hi there, I'm new here. Would you have any recommendations for scalp conditions such as scalp eczema? My hair cant get healthy because my scalp hates me and is always inflamed around my hair line and patchy and white. I have to wash my hair twice a week just to keep my scalp calm

      Hi Kayla Hill,
      I here you about the scalp issues. I suffer from dermititis in the scalp. Try tea tree within your conditioner not to much it is super super strong.

    hi dear, how are you doing. first of all greetings from Nigeria, your videos and personality are awesome. I see that you use henna a lot and I intend to incorporate it into my regimen. however i ve read that henna colors the hair orange or red etc. please how do I use it for a long term without getting my hair color changed. I've fine strands and I'm on a journey to thicken my hair.
    also how often can I apply a henna infused oil without it affecting my hair color. thanks a lot in advance and pardon me if this question has been answers before now. God bless You.

      Corina Martinez There is hope, I too have suffered for over 15 years and with regular Scalp massages and essential oils I’m see a difference. I’m going to try to make the hair oil and give that a try. Give it a go, you have nothing to lose ❤️

    I saw some amazon reviews, and was hoping you had a hair oil already mixed up. I clicked on the link in the description box but it doesn't work. Is there a special hair oil product you sell? Or was it for a reccomended brand of henna? Anyone know in case she doesn't read my comment?

      Best way to rinse your hair with tea is to get a large bowl and a small cup, dip your hair in the bowl of tea use the cup to totally saturate your hair and roots.. follow with deep conditioning or leave on and style as usual

      Erika Lee following her channel I use yeah amla powder ($4) and fenugreek seeds ($8) ( both found on amazon). I heat my hair oils on the stove with ingredients for about 30min. With in a week my hair felt stronger and NOTICEABLY less shedding/ breaking when washing my hair.
