Yep. As soon as he described how it felt I knew what he injured. One second you’re good, then it’s like somebody kicked you and you fell. Pain quality is hit or miss, but the feeling is the same like you said.
Yes, that or shot in the leg. Pain is either major, or relatively little but same initial kick feeling. This is due to the sheer amount of force that is held within the thickest and strongest tendon in the body. Imagine a bungee cord snapping. Pretty similar to that 😬
I ruptured mine too. It felt like someone kicked my leg. I knew I ruptured mine as soon I as tried to stand up. It sucks. I guess I’m lucky that my game didn’t have to change. It just took forever to come back to hoop. Rehab and just getting the confidence to jump in the lane in traffic. Oh yeah. I lost my bounce!!!!
I’m am praying for you tonight my man! You have been a huge influence in my life! So I will pray that God heal you and use you in his plan! God Bless you
Professor, I have been following you for years. I know what you are going through. I'm a Soldier and tore my right Achilles at age 40 on the court. You can comeback from this! It takes hard work and you are the man to do it! I was back on the court, not full strength, at 11 months. The biggest thing for me was the fear of hearing that pop again, sounded like a shotgun, lol. Its been almost 6 years since my injury and I honestly have forgotten it happened. I play 4 to 5 times a week with no ill affects. You got this brother! Stay strong.
Dude, I'm a 6'6" big thug who thought he had no feelings, but I have followed you for maybe 20 years and this really moved me. Be strong, keep the faith, be patient and one step forward at a time.
I know the feeling, torn mine b-ballin and I thought dude going up against me to get rebound kicked me! I got up limping and I knew it was a wrap. I had an hour drive home driving a stick shift! Doctor knew quickly by having me lay on stomach and try point my toes. I couldn't! It's worse than breaking your leg. I was helpless for months, you never forget that feeling of tearing your Achilles. You will fear tearing it again for many years doing almost any activity. I tore mine around the same time Kobe did and didn't know anyone else that had until I went back to work month later and a coworker showed me he tore both of his! Hoping Professor a speedy recovery! A long road but it is a big part of Professor's livelihood so I know he'll be back at it!
@@groforoctavioarmasvega3201 Awe I'm sorry to hear that. I'll keep you in my prayers as well. Just try and stay positive and believe you can recover 👍 God bless
Bruh I tore my ACL and feel everything this mans going through. The physical pain is definitely not the worst part. It’s the mental of the journey and process you have to go through to get back. But it’s part of your story. It’ll only make u stronger in one way or another. Praying for a speedy recovery. 💯
Amazing how that doctor probably grew up watching Professor during his And 1 days and now is the one fixing his achilles. Seems like a super nice guy too. Best of luck with the recovery Professor and wishing you a speedy/full recovery.
This breaks my whole heart. I tore my meniscus a couple years back (not nearly as bad of an injury) but it took several months to recover and over a year before I was back to playing ball the way I liked to play. And that was a really tough year so I hope your recovery is quick and easy my man. You’re a big hero of mine. Can’t wait to see you come back even better

+++ Demon attack son! There are more things invisible than visible but people don't know or understand that because they can't see it. Professor felt like he was kicked or someone threw a ball at him but the video shows otherwise. Don't dismiss demons just because you don't believe in God. This stuff is real. I wish you well Professor from one Professor to another.
Professor Yancy You’re focusing on the negative, and I’d say that’s a bad thing. You could be right, but you also could be wrong. Who’s to say this isn’t God’s way of challenging the Professor? God has his unique ways of teaching lessons that end up leading to people not seeing his blessings. Point being; you will never know the absolute truth. Why not pick to align with a truth that bases itself off of positivity?
Isaac HAUZEL I’m glad to hear it. Don’t let anyone convince you God isn’t real or that the things I said aren’t true. A year ago I was an atheist, and it took me a lot of time and effort to truly come to understand God (to the best of my ability, at least). You understand God, don’t let anyone take that from you.
Only the professor could break his own ankles.. The human body is a miracle and I too doubted my own recovery but just keep moving forward and it will happen!
Man i feel you... I got shot twice; one in the leg the other on my stomach, they saved me in the hospital but my body will never be the same again. I now have a leftover chronic trombosis and a left leg paralysis... my playing days are over and ive just turned 25. Dealing with it mentally is the hardest part. I really want to make just one last step back 3 but damn thats gone Get well soon Brother im sure you will adapt your game to the speed of your body. GL
The Professor is a man of Faith. The Lord will show him the way to recovery. The Professor will return as good as new and set a new standard of recovery for this type of injury. Wait, watch, and be patient. The healing is beginning....walk with God.
“Always basketball” got that same speech when I almost blew out my Achilles last year. Luckily I stopped right before it snapped took 6 months of no hooping to come back. You will be back just takes time
I’m so sorry that you suffered such a serious injury, I wish you a speedy recovery and that you’ll be able to prove the doctors wrong and play at full capacity again!

The pain in the professors face when the doctor was telling him his achilles tendon would never reach full strength was truly heartbreaking. My prayers goes out to this man and his recovery. God speed.
Good luck brother, my heart goes out to you. Your one of the best to ever do it at any levels. Your skill, determination, heart & zest for the game ranks up there with the greatest of all time. You've given the ballers community so many great moments. Your mark on this game will always remain. I look forward to your recovery & your rebound whatever that may be. I'm sure you'll find a way to bring the people joy with the rock once again.
When it happened I knew that you had torn it. I tore mine as well. After 6 months of recovery and therapy. It’s still not the same. Not as explosive as I once was. But Im working everyday to stretch the tendon and work it out to make it stronger and stronger. Praying for you man. Praying for healing and recovery. You are a hard worker so I know you’ll be diligent and committed to come back strong. You got this!
I'm really devastated because my childhood inspiration is now getting through this painful experience but I believe that he would be better than ever even though the doctor said the players that experienced this kind of injury wont be the same. With God nothing is impossible maybe the professor won't be the same but the changes will be better not worst. If we believe and we pray we can bring back professor!😊🇵🇭
Psalms says, “the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.” I read somewhere awhile ago that so are the stops! Prayers for strong healing and good recovery! Also for clarity of your thoughts and mind as you begin this journey of recovery and decision of the road ahead!
Eli Sanderson not at this age, and in his prime he still wasn’t good enough for the nba. Ya he’s got made handles but half of what he does in his videos is a violation.
it’s more about the explosiveness off the dribble if anything i think
4 роки тому+3
Usually, if you're right-handed it turns out to be the left Achilles.
4 роки тому+3
@@owenransdell6132 Explosiveness yes, but it's more about the imbalance of strength between your quads and your hamstrings. And to a lesser degree your calves.
Its bad even if its the right Achilles. Professor is old and the recovery is very slow. Now the injury is the limiter of Professor :( Lets just pray he will recovery soon :)
I've torn my achilles and it's all about the process.. waiting for it to heal (around 3 months) then therapy/rehab (getting the strength back in that leg another 3 months). Then trying to play again (which is more mental than physical). I can say that I was able to get back in the shape I was before and even better since I used the time for therapy/rehab to work on my entire body as well. Dominic had that injury in the early 90's. Kobe had shoulder problems when he got back. Then add to that the amount of travelling and games they had to play. If you just play 3 times a week of pick-up games then you'll do just fine. Document this process. Show them that people can really bounce back from this. All the best man!
If there's anyone who can come back stronger after achilles, it's Professor.
God speed recovery.

It’s crazy how every person who tears their Achilles says the same thing. They felt like someone kicked them in the back of their leg.
Yep. As soon as he described how it felt I knew what he injured. One second you’re good, then it’s like somebody kicked you and you fell. Pain quality is hit or miss, but the feeling is the same like you said.
its also crazy how alot of people tear it while doing a hopstep or an aggressive move inside
Yes, that or shot in the leg. Pain is either major, or relatively little but same initial kick feeling. This is due to the sheer amount of force that is held within the thickest and strongest tendon in the body. Imagine a bungee cord snapping. Pretty similar to that 😬
Marcos Barrera makes me afraid cause i always blow in aggressively and I do a lot of hop steps, quite frightening I really dont wanna tear my acl
Honestly, this breaks my heart..
He loves the game, the doc saying Kobe wasn't the same. It hurts me. (I hope the best bro)
Like so he sees this
Respect
He was the only person who can break his own ankles he was always be a legend
I immediately thought, that looks like an Achilles injury.
Yea I watched Kobe live when he got injured, as well as Kevin Durant, both looked back to see who kicked em
Easiest sports injury to diagnose..

true, it's when they're about to do an explosive move, just like kobe's achilles tear injury.

@Ryan Walton ok. Keep your opinions to yourself
The second he said, “It felt like my leg was kicked from under me.” I immediately thought: uh oh not the Achilles
Same bro I’ve heard it from so many people and that’s exactly how they describe it when they tore or ruptured their Achilles
Yep that’s why you see so many players turn around when they tear their achilles because it feels like someone kicks you
Bro I know nothing medical at all but when I saw the injury when it first happened I was like uh oh torn Achilles
Samuel Jones Gaming, several NBA players that have torn their Achilles said it felt like they had been kicked very hard in the back of the leg.
2020 has been SO hard for so many people. You have the world praying for you brother. Lord willing you will Dominate again!!
So you're saying that your gods allowed this evil to happen?! You AND your gods are SICK.

Bruh I tore my ACL and feel everything this mans going through. The physical pain is definitely not the worst part. It’s the mental of the journey and process you have to go through to get back. But it’s part of your story. It’ll only make u stronger in one way or another. Praying for a speedy recovery. 💯
This happened over a year ago 😐
Amazing how that doctor probably grew up watching Professor during his And 1 days and now is the one fixing his achilles. Seems like a super nice guy too. Best of luck with the recovery Professor and wishing you a speedy/full recovery.

This breaks my whole heart. I tore my meniscus a couple years back (not nearly as bad of an injury) but it took several months to recover and over a year before I was back to playing ball the way I liked to play. And that was a really tough year so I hope your recovery is quick and easy my man. You’re a big hero of mine. Can’t wait to see you come back even better

I love how close you are to god. And you’re not afraid to show it. In Jesus Name you heal quick and steady. Love you bro.

Doctor says he's got a full tear
Professor: "Sounds good man"
He's not a NBA player with a 80 million dollar contract. This hurt to see. How will he be just a shooter.
He should be an nba player no doubt
He won’t be the same but if he takes a year off he could definitely come back 75%.
Eli Sanderson not at this age, and in his prime he still wasn’t good enough for the nba. Ya he’s got made handles but half of what he does in his videos is a violation.
snc237 theres a video explaining none of them are violations
snc237 this is true 😂
i'ts the right Achilles, so not as bad, since he's right handed and his dominant jumping leg is left side.
it’s more about the explosiveness off the dribble if anything i think
Usually, if you're right-handed it turns out to be the left Achilles.
@@owenransdell6132 Explosiveness yes, but it's more about the imbalance of strength between your quads and your hamstrings. And to a lesser degree your calves.
Its bad even if its the right Achilles. Professor is old and the recovery is very slow. Now the injury is the limiter of Professor :( Lets just pray he will recovery soon :)
ok but he’s going to favor the left more then ever. duh !!!
Its heartbreaking to see the professor himself like this..
Hoping a speedy recovery bud hope you go back to square one soon..
