@@najmussehar11 See the parallel axis theorem's definition again... It's I=I(COM) + MR^2. Here R doesn't mean the radius of the sphere...It means the perpendicular distance of the axis of rotation from the COM, so by basic geometry, it's R=4/sqrt(2) cm= 2^1.5 cm.

the sum at 40:53 can also be solved by considering the joint between 2 rods as centre of mass as both the rods have same mass and length and considering both the bodies as a single body.the axis passing through the com will have and inertia as 2[ml^2/3] as the centre of mass if the edge of 2 rods . and then by using parallel axis theorem we get 5ml^2/3.that would be much easier
