- While working with silver coins, I have accumulated a large number of silver round center pieces. Then I melt them and make jewelry. Most often these are chains and bracelets.
First I weigh the scrap of silver, then I do the calculations to get the 925 sterling silver alloy. To do this, I add 999.9 pure silver in the required proportions and get an alloy of 925 purity that meets jewelry standards.
In this video I show how I made two Bismark bracelets. This chain design has many different names around the world. But basically it's still Bismark or Bismarck. I don't know why.. For these two Bismarck bracelets I used 100 grams of silver. About 30 percent of the metal went to scrap (for subsequent melting and processing) and the total weight of the bracelets became about 68 grams. I made one of the bracelets with a blackened finish. For this I used a solution of sulfuric liver. The other bracelet I made was just a shiny silver finish. Both bracelets look great! Do you know how my Bismark bracelets and chains differ from the same chains made by other jewelers? I make very tight links and I do a lot of file work, removing the metal layer and getting a nice flatness on both sides. It takes three times longer than other jewelers spend (who are simply lazy or save time at the expense of quality), but the result is excellent! I'm absolutely sure that in a shop window, among similar bracelets, you would have stopped your eyes exactly on my product! If you want the same bracelet - welcome to my store!

Everything was made by hand like this using manual equipment like draw plates to make wire, filigree work done with a tiny hacksaw etc. I miss it

Цепь называется везде по-разному, но всё же Бисмарком её называют чаще,

Согласен. Но я считаю бисмарк должен быть очень плотный и хорошо спиленный, именно такой по плотности как в этом видео. А жиденькие-дырявые - не люблю, не красиво..

I make my own silver solder. I fuse silver with brass. Or silver with copper and zinc. Sometimes I use silver and brass coins. I take a 10 gram 900 silver coin and add a 3 gram brass coin to it, and I get good solder. In general, I don’t have any permanent recipe for solder; I always experiment and make different ones.
For every 10grams of pure silver, add 3.5g of brass.
If you dont have pure silver, 950 silver still works

Лимонная кислота. При пайке и отжиге серебра используется флюс, и чтоты снять остатки флюса я кипячу в растворе обычной лимонной кислоты. В принципе можно этого и не делать на стадии изготовления проволоки, но после отжига проволока становится тёмная, в окислах, и отбелить можно и потом. Но мне приятнее работатать с отбеленным серебром на всех этапах. Культура производства так сказать..

Какую долю лимонной кислоты вы используете? Капли? Ложки?
@@Xapiro Я на глаз бросаю, точные пропорции необязательны. Достаточно насыщенный раствор чтобы получился. Обычная пищевая лимонная кислота, порошок.
Я отбеливаю в серной или соляной 5% кислоте с вытяжкой.
Но лимонная не так токсична.

Сколько нужно "варить" чтобы изделия отбелить? И какие пропорции?
@@MAXIMUM326 Обычно это 5-15 минут. Видно по внешнему виду как окислы уходят. Дольше не надо. Пропорции 1 к 5, то есть на 100 мл воды 20 грамм лимонной кислоты

I don't confuse anyone! There are no official sources where the names of the chains are clearly indicated. Because of this, in different countries the same chain is called differently.
Нифига это на арабский Бисмарк, а обычный. Арабский действительно в 4 местах паяется, но у меня же в двух паян и у меня как раз обычный бисмарк. Да и выгладит арабский не так, там середина звена «проколота». Короче не вижу смысла спорить о названиях…
