I once schooled a police officer who asked where I studied law whilst having a disagreemen about something. I informed them of the etymology of the word study. It comes from the Greek studios and later the French estudie. Literally means to read information to gain and ascertain knowledge. Nothing about a qualification. Its just to try and belittle you and make you feel like a powerless member of the public.

Have to say that I'm a bit puzzled by the leaving of OUR property. (or 'private' or 'police' property according to the wee lassie) Can they really insist that you stay outside on the pavement - or are they turning the tables on auditors by using trespass? If so, I can't actually recall them specifically asking you to leave the premises. Just directives as to where they were comfortable for you to film.
Get the complaints in - & find out how many they each have on their records to date, upheld or otherwise. Not sure if you can do this in the UK. Should be able to. In the States, you can find this out easily, as well as salary, overtime etc. Worth a stab? Guessing they'd hate this info going public if they can't cope with cameras.

For some reason they all seem to be under the mistaken belief that they have the right to know who everyone is and also that their personal vehicles have some sort of right to never be filmed. Even if someone did they'd need access to DVLA to get the owners address.
