One could spend an entire career analyzing the videos of Red Velvet. The lyrics, the images, the costumes, the themes, and so on. They never fail to raise the bar and then surpass it.
I truly think no one else is doing it like them, the details and aesthetic and cohesion of their songs and image is sooooo incredible. They have some of the best MVs and styling in the industry. When they release a song it feels like they are releasing an era instead of just a song, the whole thing is always so well done.
Finally someone who understand what the song means hand to hand with de MV.

This entire album promotion was good enough I guess but I can't lie the album rollout that we got from the teaser and instagram thing was cathartic. They really dwelve deep into this lore and gave the song a meaning as a whole (shoutout to Joy, our trusted album spokeperson). RV does what they always do best, gave us album with a THEME! Chill kill really drag me through the emotions, the song itself and the mv oh god

This song is such an earworm, the video is so good and also the answer to 'what if you could film trauma bonding but make it visually compelling and oddly not heavy,' and I was jazzed to see this reaction waiting in my queue even though I somehow missed it when it dropped.
I'm going to have to watch their other videos to see what other things happen when all of them are holed up in a house. I guess getting rid of an abuser in the house in this video is not nearly as sinister as luring pizza boys to their death like in Peek-A-Boo. :)
After about the 3rd listen, and more importantly, understanding what the video represents, I get emotional every time I hear this song now.

Yeah I think most K-pop fans want more simple and catchy songs and tend to ignore songs like chill kill that are musically more experimental and interesting. Also I feel like most people are to lazy to actually try and interpret the meaning of the song and mv. I think it’s genuinely one of the most interesting and artistic releases I have seen in a while. I am so proud of red velvet for doing music for the arts not the charts, they aren’t afraid of experimenting

Several things you've said in this video, Seulgi herself has made confirmation earlier, we could also check on behind the scenes. Yup, it was their abusive father locking them up on basement, Wendy unwillingly committed murder to end the nightmare (or terror) they have been experiencing, and the rest of plot really thickens lol until they ultimately committed arson to erase the evidence, but they eventually got caught.

Since Psyko i don’t have the feeling for Red Velvet tracks, but with ChillKill omg, i just love and this is my girls ! Plus Yeri shines more than ever in this comeback and this make me feel so happy too ! Love the creepy-classy-elegant-fairy vibes. Only Red Velvet can do this now!

I really wish you would keep ALL your community updated - that is, not just the people who go over to Patreon, but the people who have been supporting over here and in other platforms for years. A community post on YT telling the rest of us what is going on would not hurt anyone, in fact, it would help a lot since I have been seeing a lot of people coming and asking about your whereabouts and wellbeing for weeks now. People are genuinely worried about you, PD. I don't mean to sound mean, but you cannot simply abandon your audience without saying a single word, post 30 videos every two months and expect everyone to understand when you have been keeping us in the dark. In 2018, I was frustrated with my job and i started studying to become a video editor, and I found your channel out of nowhere. I had never even listened to a K-pop song entirely, and that day I watched at least 5 videos from you reacting to iKON and Stray Kids. So yeah, I'm not an expert in K-pop, I'm not an expert in how people can influence others on the internet, but in my opinion, you are a great way to introduce people to and make them like K-pop.

If you're not aware of the group Kiss of Life, do so immediately. Their debut a few months ago was fabulous. Four solo videos and two group videos. The order - Natty, Belle, Julie, Hanuel, Bye My Neverland and Shh. The videos are cinematic and the music is wonderful. Hope you get to know them.

It went from "A Tale of Two Sisters" to "A Tale of Five Sisters".
The album is insanely good: five fantastic artists flexing over 10 songs.
chill kill was an EXPERIENCE! it's one of the rare instances where the mv not only compliments, but elevates the song!
while there were definitely a lot of good releases this year, something i havd noticed in recent kpop is that a lot of times, the mv has nothing to do with the teasers. the teasers promise something and the mv and song delivers something else. it has disappointed me quite a bit with some other comebacks, but red velvet actually kept their promise and gave us an mv that relates closely to the teasers. this might be my favourite red velvet song yet, everything about it is just the perfect mix of horror, tragedy and a strange wholesomeness.
This reminds me of something i heard a few years ago. Basically someone kidnapped 3 girls and locked them in his house for years. When they got out they said they sometimes danced with each other and had pillow fights, and that these moments were the few times where they were able to forget all the abuse and pain, and just be kids again (i dont think they killed him though). This MV hits hard!! It instantly became one of my absolute favorites.

SF9 just released a new song and MV and it is soooo good. All the members are actors so it made the music video even more captivating, but the lyrics and production of the song is really cool. The song is called 'Bibora' and it's about wanting to get together with an ex lover. I def recommend it❤

I've heard that the whole music video is backwards, they got caught by the police for setting the house on fire after killing the abusive father(?), then during the start of the vid until the bridge, its just them each other trying to cover up the assasination. In the music teaser you can hear the song if you played it backwards.
Somehow it reminds me of the movie Room:
1. The girls are locked together in the basement, relying on each other and forming a strong bond in captivity
2. They fantasize about living in an imaginary happy world to not get hopeless (Joy's pov Instagram posts before the mv release say how she looks at the world with only one eye)
3. They escape from the abuser physically (and the basement), but are not able to leave the place behind mentally (Yeri and Irene's scene)
4. They burn down the place; despite that they might get locked up later (this time in a cell), they are finally able to leave the 'Room'
