@FireWaterMuzik nah i don't think your paranoid at all ay. i remember watching a video with vince staples talking to joe budden, who's the most patronising of all with his attitude to southern rappers, and vince staples pointed out that the schools in NYC are actually really pretty damn good compared to long beach and prolly a lot of other poorer neighbourhood schools. point being all these nyers are brought up with poetry and english literature and performing art schools etc etc and then look down on people who don't obey the rules of "the kings english". they think that cause dudes like Gunna aren't interested in increasing their vocabulary to a 1 000 000 and are happy just using slang from around them that they are some how "lesser" or stupider. it's privileged bs really and it's sad cause all these NY "old heads" end up being such shitty role models for how to be an elder of an art form.
