That is some of the best carves ever. So powerful, fast, smooth and stylish. Most pro surfers get two or three of these, EE does all four. Perfect surfing.
Some people make surf a sport, but then there is this guy (and a couple others) who makes surf a fine piece of art. Beautiful surfing, unique, pristine, just gorgeous to watch.
his surfing is so perfect it almost makes you believe you could do it. then you see yourself surfing and realize just how much of a machine he is. EE a contender for sure
There isn’t anybody, his air game isn’t the best but outside of that he’s pretty much the best. His tube riding hasn’t been shown enough yet but he’s sneaky good at barrels too. I’m seriously thinking about him for cloudbreak over Jack. He’s like Taj/Mick/Joel/AI rolled into 1. I hate getting all hype on any dude but E seriously has everything you could ask for in surfing.
@@TRIKushbeachsideno he doesn't, he lacks progression and variety. Can't do airs and needs to attack the wave more, it's pleasing to the eye but he doesn't do risky turns, a very calculated surfer but after a few waves it's just the same turns over and over
@@jaycee571 I said he’s not the greatest air guy. He can do them but he’s so good on the wave he really doesn’t need to. Don’t get me wrong it would be really cool for him to get that going but in terms of everything else he’s on the absolute top. It is nice to watch but what he’s doing is %100 “risky” putting 1/2 the board underwater and ripping reverses on the biggest and best sections is about as critical as it gets… he surfs most waves without doing ANY double pumps. He has the whip of mick, the buttery style of parko, AI power hacks and the flare of someone like Taj. I’ve been surfing and watching surfing my entire life and he’s arguably my favorite surfer ever in terms of style, technical, aggressive etc… I know people who literally invented certain airs that rip in small waves but are just decent once the waves get good/solid. It’s awesome to watch but it’s a niche type of surfing. Airs are cool and all but doing some of the best surfing ever on the face is what surfing really is. And he CAN do them, he’s not the best and doesn’t do them in contests often simply because he’s so good he doesn’t need to a lot of the time. Just look at the surfing he did last year at lowers up until the final against Filipe where he stumbled a little. He smoked everyone up until the final without doing any airs. If doing blow tails having your feet come off the board with the tail pointing past the beach isn’t risky idk what is.

Surfed Lowers back in the day, late 70's and 80's such a cake wave. No consequences except for the crowds lol. I remember when Ian Cairns called it "the greatest mushburger in the world" lol
In small waves. Put Toledo against EE in waves of consequence and it is not even a contest. Heck, Toledo would probably paddle in after catching one wave, that is if he catches one wave.

SURFING is a combination of 2 turns , bottom turn and top turn .EE does them both better than most.
