Hey lady! A plinth block (so far as I've seen) is the decorative square put at the meeting of the vertical and horizontal framing of a door or window usually. So instead of a 45° angle to butt them together, it's just a square where they touch the 2 sides of that
How fun! Great to see you shopping with Jordan. I'm so happy she's in the modeling industry. I hope she has a fun, fantastic time. Thanks for another great video.
Minneapolis had Architectural Antiques on Washington Avenue--and we loved it! They had vintage glass doorknobs, and old saint statues from Catholic churches. Back in the 70s and 80s, we'd go antiquing on Sunday afternoons. I wish I could step back in time, and step into that store. There was always great pickin' in Minnesota. Thank you for this educational video & shop along...Your voice sounds like the gal on another UA-cam channel, Lavender Clothesline.
I like your talking, it's informative and feels like we are shopping together. My daughters aren't into the thrifting or any of my friends, but I am grooming a grandson who is coming along nicely. LOL
Dear Niche lady I discovered one of these places up near Seattle...which has many old homes in the Sea-Tac area. I went nuts, wished I had an empty fixer upper.
Hi, I'm the new kid on the vlog and I really wish you had had room in your suitcase for the tiger nug!!! I would have bought it!! I'm surprised you didn't drive, but I realize S.D. is a litle further south. Excellent work on your videos. I prefer no music, because it is a little distracting.
What a fantastic amazing awesome Architectural shop!!! I had to replace my eyes after they fell out! All those delicious goodies! The stairs rails made out if odd things! Springs, blackboard etc 😍😍😍. Loved the tiger mug and would have bought that in a nano second. The big white bowl looked like you could bathe a baby in it 😁. I too thought the olive tray a lovely piece. I'd use it for cherries as I'm not into olives either. Thanks for so much delightful stuff!!!
Hi 👋 New fan here from NJ! Enjoying your videos very much and wanted to chime in on the voice-over/no music comments ... I don’t mind music as long as it’s not distracting, but too often it can also lead to uneven levels, etc. Keep what works and makes you feel good too. (That last item in your video is a wine bottle holder)
I like not having music.......dead space is fine. Music can be distracting. As a musician, my mind goes straight to the music. Feels more calming when quieter.
That door with the old door hole looks like it came out of Alice in Wonderland. Love all the salvage knobs, etc. Some really cute stuff. Nice to see Jordan, even if not in person.
I always have a carry on full of china, glassware ,and breakables when I come home from travelling, but those doors would definitely not fit in my luggage🤪! I think the word you were looking for is escutcheon 🤣.
I’m ok with no music....some people will have it at a very low volume as they talk and that is better than music at a volume that just seems to be too much sometimes. And you said the Goodwill you’re in is “like a boutique?” That’s because, from what I’m seeing, it is one of their boutiques...did u notice higher prices too?
No music is Great. Younger You Tubers play really loud music and they don't realize lots of us cannot hear them talk over the music. I can hear you when you play music♡. As I'm busy sorting etc. it's just less distracting not having music. Thanks!
Are you sure you didn’t die and go to heaven? That salvage place is remarkable! I didn’t know such places existed. AMAZING!! It makes my heart so happy to know there are people who value those things enough to save them!

Lisa Lehman yes! Easier than mitreing.
Yes we have put many in.
THANK YOU!
@@TheNICHELady They are common in Victorian houses
THIS is EXACTLY how excited I would be/sound in an Architectural salvage shop❤️🤗
Yes on no music!
Voice over I feel more like I'm there. Enjoy walking around with you, enjoy the narration. The Salvage building was gob smacking, loved it.
Nothing wrong with silence on a video. It’s relaxing. 💖
Good to know!
How fun! Great to see you shopping with Jordan. I'm so happy she's in the modeling industry. I hope she has a fun, fantastic time. Thanks for another great video.
No music please. Did anyone else see the stained glass window???? Incredible!!!!!
I like the voice over minus music. Keep talking girl,i like to hear your descriptions!
Thank you! Will do!
Ditto...voice with no music is much better.
I was so excited to see this goodwill, I visited there but could not find a parking place to go in the store. So thank you 😊
I live in San Diego and I had no idea this place existed. I only live 30 minutes away from it. Thank you for sharing! 🙌🏻
Auntie Kristie lucky you👍🏻
All those doors and hardware are great!!! That rose trash can was cute!!
Your sweet voice is music enough! Such a cute photo of your cat in your luggage. LOL
Wow, thank you!
Omigosh that salvage place gave me palpitations!!! I would love someplace likex that!!!!!
It was truly amazing!
Wow! That place is amazing! I’d be broke if I lived close to a place like that!
You and me both!
I love that store! Best place in San Diego for architectural salvage!
Voice-overs are good. 😊
The salvage store was amazing
Oh the salvage place. Right up my alley. It was so well organized and put together.
I like soft music in between the voice overs, fills in the blanks.
No music👌
I like not having music.
A trim pc for the corners on door ways. Was a beautiful trim pc.
Really like it without music. You are doing great 👍☺
Thank you so much 😀

That’s a fun place! Next time you’re in town maybe also ck out the 2 locations of Consignment Classics. 🤗
Oh where are those? I will definitely be going back!
Yipee just found where to comment love your blog .I am going to start a confidence wall for myself.xxx ❤❤❤🐾🌈
Dear Niche lady
I discovered one of these places up near Seattle...which has many old homes in the Sea-Tac area. I went nuts, wished I had an empty fixer upper.
It is the corner block to the facing of windows and doors. The house I grew up in had them.
I think u missed a Rae Dunn mug "wifey" in the last store. Loved this shopping vid! TFS
Oh no!

Thank you! Yeah sometimes I edit these videos and wonder why I didn't grab something! It was way cheaper to fly than to drive this time ;-)
IDK If I were there, I would have rented a uhaul truck to drive all the goods home!😁😁

Oh cherries would have been perfect use for it! Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts!
Thanks for sharing!

Thank you, it's definitely all been a learning experience creating these videos!
I love architectural salvage. Wish I had a store near me like this.

Awsome voice-over
Thank you!
Plinth block-- corner piece of a door frame. Went to top of your door and pleated " columns" were the side pieces. N
Beautiful doors
They use the Plinth blocks for the corner of each door facing and then they’ll be a cut wood that runs down the side of the door facing
Plinth block is also called a bullseye it goes in the top corner of molding around doors and windows
That door with the old door hole looks like it came out of Alice in Wonderland. Love all the salvage knobs, etc. Some really cute stuff. Nice to see Jordan, even if not in person.
Ahhh never thought of that! I can't wait to get back to her again!
I always have a carry on full of china, glassware ,and breakables when I come home from travelling, but those doors would definitely not fit in my luggage🤪! I think the word you were looking for is escutcheon 🤣.
Ha! Yes I had all the Murano glass I found in my carryon!
Your daughter is very pretty
There are still some great old properties in the UK with original doors and keyholes. However, people do replace them...goodness knows why.
Hi hi
Love too watch your videos 🥰
Kveðja frá Iceland 🇮🇸🇮🇸🇮🇸
Prefer quiet shopping.
You could have packed a box with your goodies and shipped them back to your home.
Oh my gosh Where in San Diego is this
I bet you know what a plinth block is. Look at an old doorway. Didn't they put one towards the top on an old door molding?
I think those plinth blocks were in the framing of doors and windows
You're daughter's. Are beautiful .

I’ve seen that bear mug on eBay with a $10 starting bid.
What was that wooden egg shaped thing on a rope that you picked up? The “weird thing “ you were attracted to? I would have HAD to have that!
I LOVE the olive dish! I’ve never seen one like it.
I don't know! Maybe a musical instrument of some kind?
I'm wondering what part of San Diego you are in. I live here, but my local thrift stores are not too great....
My daughter was the navigator we went to a few different areas!
I think you need a road trip next time, fill up your car!! Lol
I'm going back next week... taking more suitcases LOL!
@@TheNICHELady oooo...I'll look forward to that! Xxx

Exactly!
Somebody needs a larger suitcase lol.
Dead air is fine
🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️Thinking about you!❤
I'd rather listen to you instead of annoying music. That was an awesome store with all of doors & stuff...lol
The vote is in - no more music! Thank you!
Can of no music!
I would use that trash can for holding something else. Not sure what but not trash. Lol
I prefer music.
Which store is this!😍
I don't know the name shoot - It's near Little Italy though. I think on India St.
No music..... just share what’s in your head
That is how I'm doing it now!
She has beautiful eyes
Better without music
Go away
