Wow! This was one of the most heart-racing and amazing performances that I have ever listened to! I was freaking mesmerized!
Unfortunately, it is wrought with mistruths and only partially tells the whole story. There are a number of government set-asides for women as well hiring biases in colleges that favor women, not to mention that private enterprises complain about the difficulty in finding women who specialize in some high level fields. Then there's the issue with the wage gap which is mostly a consequence of women's choices than it is a consequence of sexism in the work place or systemic oppression by the wider society directed at women. To put this in perspective, let's take an area like nursing. Male nurses comprise only 12% of all registered nurses in the USA and yet the men make up 41% of the highest paying nursing specialization i.e. Nursing Anesthetists. Bear in mind that Nursing is *a profession made up of 88% women,* anyone reading this can guess where I'm going with this point. So, what sort of evil patriarchal force is stopping women from attaining this incredible paygrade? It can't be sexist bullying of women, especially when women have the home-field advantage through sheer representation. If anything the men should be the ones to suffer if we use this logic. Now, you might say that it's family life and that having more children hinders female advancement in various professions; but in what world is that oppression? Unless the husband cruelly demands that she stays at home to raise the children (P.S. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with being a stay-at-home mom. If anything, it might be best for the kids), all that's left to say is that both time and an ever changing personal life affects how far she can stretch herself.
As far as sexualization of women is concerned, just remember ladies: THIS IS NOT IRAN. Many of you women sexualize men too, sometimes nowhere as much as you personally sexualize yourselves. As a millennial, I can say this with confidence. Instagram, Twitch, Onlyfans, TikTok challenges, and not to mention jobs like sugar babies, p*rn stars, escorts, etc. In many of these cases, no one forced you into any of these sexually explicit activities and most of you are barely (if at all) getting paid to do it, so you can't say you aren't doing this because of validation, and the few of you who are getting paid, some of you are able to make a good living and some of you have become millionaires. This will never, and should never, justify any type of sexual assault and some jerks will make lewd comments about a lady no matter what she does or wear , but let's not play dumb and pretend as if ladies are some vulnerable frightened little lambs whose minds can't be as twisted as any man. Have we not seen some women talk about using a man's desire against him? Haven't we heard some women boast about how they 'finessed' a man out his hard earned cash? Or how they led a guy on because they like the attention he gave them? Moreover, you are a grown woman and outside of a pimp or other extreme situations, no one can force you to sexualize yourself, that's your choice. I clearly remember growing up as a teenager when all the adults I knew condemned Britney Spears and Beyoncé as being horrible role models for young girls, well guess what? A lot of those girls still grew up to sexualize themselves regardless of what their parents, churches and schools did to discourage them. Whereas this *isn't always* a bad thing, I am trying to point out the fact that women aren't inert blocks of wood and there is a hard limit to how much can be be blamed on men and the broader society.
Mayrock also brings up courtrooms, as if men don't get worse sentences than women in a criminal court or that men are less likely to win custody of their children or lose their assets. To be fair, some of these men deserve what they got but if men are more likely to get the worst of it in the courts, then how does this count as an oppressive system against women and girls?

Dear Aija, your words touch me so deeply! I have been bullied too also in my late 20's because I was not afraid to be myself. We are special. I also want to help other people and be always kind to everyone although they behave not nicely to others. You are so powerful and inspiring!

The "message" may or may not be relevant and timely, but that's besides the point. For poetry is not the message. This is just not poetry at all. Have you ever heard of Yeats, Eliot, Neruda, Lorca, Stevens, and Frost? Those guys could write poetry. Although you may not be able to write even close to their level, you need to study the classics to have a sense of what authentic poetry is.

I came to receive my direct hit of cringe. I am not disappointed 🤣😂
"I belong to a conference..." Why not picking up trash like garbage men? Why not working in an oil rig being covered in dirt? What about delivering food? Nope, you belong to a conference room with clean clothes, AC, etc. because you say so. If anything, this is further proof that if you are a woman with a cute face and a nice body, people will listen to all your BS without ever challenging you, and here's Ms. Aija thinking she's a trailblazer for babbling a few words about her experience with bad boys that she herself accepted in to her life.
