As an Australian whose grandfather served in the RAN in World War II, this is a completely unrealistic depiction of Australian soldiers of that time. There should have been far more cigarette smoking, continual swearing, and there was no way those guys were sober for any of that time! Not even a daily rum ration! Remember, "Two cans, per man, per day" is the *minimum* beer ration! Accent was spot-on though.
I should hope the accent was spot on. The commando was played by Australian actor Michael Pate. And the complete saying is "Two cans per man per day perhaps."
