- At a 19th century ball in Kirov, Russia, on Summer Solstice, 2019. The orchestra played it faster than usual, and the dancers said that they enjoyed it that fast. Music: Romany Life by Victor Herbert. Choreography by Richard Powers.
Спасибо за видео. И танец зажигательный, и платья красивые. Много знакомых платьев, в видео встречались и в исторических источниках.
Coming back to this again (and again and again . . . .); my all-time favorite.
The Romany Polka is one of my favorites; I've seen several versions on YT, some of which were danced by Prof. Powers' own students. Wonderful, brilliant dance. Bravo!

Очень понравилось выступлегие!!!!
Beautiful!
In this case, Faster IS Better
Absolutely lovely, a spirited yet elegant dance.
I keep expecting to see the conductor knocked ass over teakettle by one of the couples! Brave man (or a foolish one!) to stick his butt out there!
Wow beautiful in what country i can learn this dance amomg with others ?
What's the sound's title?
It's "Romany Life" by Victor Herbert, from his 19th century opera The Fortune Teller.
