Looks like Benchmade did a collaboration with Makita Drills lol.
😂
Looks like Ka Bar's Space Force knives
Yeah, handles made of santopprene. Better known as vulcanized rubber.
More low value for high price from Benchmade.
Benchmade has lost it completely
I’ll never unsee that now 😂
When a Buck 112 costs double the new Magnacut Benchmade folder..... " what are we doing here " 😂😂
You should compare it fairly, compare it to the narrows.
Anytime “Legacy Collection “ is in the description, add a zero or two. I don’t think the Benchmade water collection will ever be a “Legacy Collection “ item.
@@chrisjosekuehlliterally everyone makes fun of the narrows for being overpriced. What’s your point?
I spit out my water when he said that 112 was over $400😂😂😂
_Unequivocally how you price yourself out of the market!_
Benchmade bringing their prices back down to earth (or at least back into orbit) is a great thing. The fillet knives look sweet.
Still overpriced for the materials but it is an improvement at least
Also there's the lifetime warranty and sharpening to make up for it so its not too bad in the end
Don’t act like you don’t have thousands of dollars of knives you don’t even use anyways
Something tells me the Benchmades will be on special by the end of the year.
Should see the prices that BM are being sold for in Australia, no normal person can afford them
Except they never are…keep crying about 100% USA made tools while you throw money at Chinese junk cause your favorite “influencer” put 🔥in the title.
@@o0FranklySpeaking0othey never are bud. Your Chinese “🔥influencer knives” always are though….
@@o0FranklySpeaking0o No abnormal person can afford them either lol.
who else FF through the BM's?
Only through a couple like the fillet knives and larger fixed blade, the folders and the small fixed blade I dig
I actually watch those segments to laugh at the prices.
I *had* to hate watch it.
Me!
@@redlion145You really thought the prices on the Water series were laughable? Did you laugh at the Spy27 Spyderco?
Love that last White river, what a sweet little fixed blade !
Buck been talking to Benchmade execs evidently with their pricing 😂
I have 4 white rivers. Absolutely recommend
A screw to replace my utility blade is going backwards. The milwaukee fastback is by far the nicest to use. Storage and button spring removal. Havent broke one yet, only lost :(
Nobody got time for actual usable knives here. This market is for those of us who toy around opening and closing our knives in our underwear. And for that, Magnacut is a MUST should anyone here actually use a knife for anything real except for opening Amazon packages
Man I love Seth, that Mustache is pure Savage!
He's going to be in the new Napoleon Dynamite.
It's a stache that says
"In accordance with Megan's law, I have to notify you that I'm a-"
A true 70’s porn Stache! You the man!
The spandex shorts of the late 80s
For knives to take diving and use around water, are blue handles the best option?
Best to get lost
Goes to show thay Benchamade isnt thinking much about the functionality of their product line anymore. Benchmade went from being my favorite knife brand in the late 2010's, to no lw not even wanting to put down the money for one.
High vis yellow, green, or red would’ve been better imo.
Another reason im anti benchmade. Spyderco is my go to for dive knives if not going for a didicated dive knife company.
@117rebel even if they just inverted the colors that would've been better, orange with blue accents
Ide say Dave is the 1A, and Seth is the 1B. Both do an excellent job with Thomas behind the camera! Like Randy Moss and Chris Carter.
That was an easy video to get through because I got to scrub right past all those bench maids. The real fun starts with the Spyderco
Sweet. Same design with a different blade steel that makes little difference to most edc applications 😂😂😂😂
@@cameronduncan7921 I’m not super into Spyderco but I never think Benchmades are worth the price so I don’t even bother checking them out most of the time.
$300+ for a d2 folder good to know BM aren’t the only ones smoking crank.
White River isn't playing around, the Magnacut lineup is looking good💯
Like that spyderco spy27...!
I bought a budget knife with upgraded materials at a premium to the regular version but still a good value. After 2 years in rotation the lock broke down. Liner lock is now a detent slip joint. The spydercos I have had for over a decade on the other hand are still good to go. Lesson learned
Benchmade knives always come at a premium, but the Intersect interests me. I do love a nice compact pocket fixed blade.
Seth looks like you just woke him up from a nap to film this video 😂
He's a nappy headed bloke.
I wish he would comb his hair before going on camera.
I agree what a disaster! Are you kidding me? Common man, have some pride in your job.
Yes, I agree!!! Needs a haircut. 😂😂😂
I wanted to post a similar comment but didn't want to hear any feedback of "if you don't like it, don't watch it". I love the content (knives), but just don't want to see the distracting hairdo... I really want to know why KnifeCenter doesn't get him to "sharpen up" his grooming.
spyderco salt series > benchmade water series 😎
DCA is missed.
Could be in relation to the upcoming addition to his family.
Ned Flanders does a good job too!
@@DeanFrankovis-kp2nqlmao good call 😅
Seth, Intersect would be my pick of the series too. I'd love a three inch fish craft with long handle!
Great job Seth!
Is Buck smoking crack 450 dollars for that?
Knife prices are absurd lately. I prefer to buy american when I can but frankly the chinese made ones are the only real option for me these days (case being the notable exception here, surprisingly still affordable for most of their range)
Yes. Yes they are. Probably scored some of what Benchmade’s been smoking 😂
@@dave34988 The "only real option" for you just got exposed as false advertising their steels.
It’s a super limited collector run. Buck’s been doing that for ages.
Loving the new Benchmade line! Decent pricing and I love a good knife that can survive the elements.
I never fast forward. Seth and Dave always give me information that is helpful when I’m sharpening. I specialize in “stone only” technique, so their comments on blade design is great.
I like how Seth turns into Yoda when he is holding a Spyderco knife. "What more to say is there?" 11:35 😅
I like the blue on Benchmades water series better than spydercos yellow on the salt series
really great work seth. I appreciated the attention you paid to the way the knives feel in hand and their cutting geometry
My favorite time of the week too!
Ok, this is the 3rd week or so without DCA. Nothing against Seth. I’ve watched DCA for years and he feels like an old friend, and worry if he is all right when he goes missing for some time. Any illumination would be greatly appreciated.
I'm still around! Paternity leave ;)
@@dcandersen Congrats 😃. Glad you are well.
Nice simple knife that last White River!
I think Civivi should start doing the elementum 2 with aluminum scales like what they did with the elementum utility
Good job hosting Seth!
Mini adira is gonna make it into my outdoors rotation. Sick lineup, fully ambi, made in America, great price. Nuthin for nuthin I’m getting that civivi utility knife.
that primitrox knife kinda looks like "what if a praxis & an elementum had a baby" haha
The White River and Benchmade knives looked great.
I like the BM water series blue as a color, but for the intended purpose of the knives a bright yellow, green or orange would have been better.
This kid reminds me of the Diamond City Radio DJ from Fallout 4.
I love it he’s great!
Missing David, but love whenever Seth30V is in the house! Also, that first sniper blade works reminds me of Count Dooku’s lightsaber.
Seth, you rock!
MBGA- Make Benchmade great again!
I love your videos. I need some custom scales for my folding pocket knife. Any suggestions?
I like DCA, but you do a fantastic job Seth. These are super informative videos from Knife Center. Btw, Thomas, a great job editing & putting these vis together. Really, great job to all you guys, just fantastic. ⚔️🇺🇸
That clip on the shorter Benchmade looks like a hand dropping you the bird!😂
Still waiting on that Large Pyrite Wharncliffe variant!!
Nice reviews mate
Been waiting for the utility elementum ever since they announced it. Now to see what they come up with next for the line of elementums. I've collected every iteration of it so far and in my opinion they're missing an XL folder and a larger fixed blade....or perhaps a machete? Lol
thank u guys!
White River is what Benchhmade thinks it is.
That Small Game knife is real nice.
The Civivi Primitrox looks like an Elementum merged with a Praxis
Got my stashe ready... Mustache that is
(Major Payne laugh)
Ive had n enjoyed the Paramilitary 2 in SPY27 FOR over a year. Im crazy about Cobalt bearing alloys! A sintered steel Cobalt bearing alloy is awesome for me
I'm just hootin' & hollering for a fixie in spy27!
I have the mule team in it and put Voodoo Resin scales on it
I'm kinda "meh" on the water folder. I carry a Pacific Salt Spyderco in my wetsuit sleeve and it's amazingly light complete unnoticed. But if I were looking for a heavier build I'd still be looking to a Spyderco like the Caribbean.
New knives time *YES*
Did buck get taken over by the management of benchmade???? I guess buck seen the Narrows selling so they was like... yup let's gooooo lol
No, because this is just the limited run collector's edition of the Slim Pro TRX that is only 100 bucks. And the Slim Pro is the high end version of the Slim Select which is just 30 bucks.
Hi DCA, or Seth is there a small fixed blade, like the size of a mora basic or smaller, that can be used around metal structures, tough enough not to chip or roll if it accidentaly comes in contact with the metal every now and then, around $100? Might be alot to ask i know. If not what steel would be the best against that kind of abuse? Thanks
00:10:00 after all the benchmade
Anybody knows benchmade's HRC on it's magnacut steel ?
60-62
Benchmade - Please make a larger version of the Intersect, and give it a conventional looking sheath. Thanks! 🙏
I’m looking for an edc sized wharncliffe style fixed blade in a stainless steel I’m having trouble finding anything can you help me with a couple options?
Spyderco Ronin
Seth the Apprentice. May the force be with you mate. Cheers from Australia.
Sharp side note Seth also features on Linus Tech tips as Riley .
That WE falcaria is way outta my price range but damn does it look nice!
None of that Benchmade is appealing to me. Everyone knows Spyderco Salt Series is who you go with for full corrosion resistance.
Benchmade outsells Spyderco by about 10x. Spyderco just releases the same knives in different blade steels. Benchmade DOMINATES and fully ambi.
They both use magnacut lately so it really comes down to fit and finish and design - although if you take into account heat treat and attention to detail spyderco is leagues ahead
Wtf! Blue! Orange makes sense 😂
Spear foot
I assume the Benchmade Fishcrafter good enough for Brisket?
If civivi found a way to make the blade change quicker in that elementum, home depot companies would be in trouble.
I used to scuba dive but I had to sell all my gear when I bought the BM "water" series. Diving just isn't the same any more. 😢
On the bright side, it's a good thing they don't do an "air" series for sky divers. 😁
That hairdo! Black belt in swag 😎
Can you do a fire steel delete on the firecraft sheath
Should be doable; it's held on with the same screws as the belt loop.
Just here to hate on benchmade. 😂
I'll ask again... why would one want a non-locking folder other than for legal reasons?
Tradition, I guess. Those slip joint people are crazy for them.
No idea, I've heard people say because they're simple to work on but most modern folders are easy to work on once you learn the basics of how they operate, I prefer a lock though, I've had blades close on me before, not something that's too fun to experience
Because traditional slipjoints are awesome.
@@patrickmunneke8348 I see. How so? I really don't get it.
@@JohnBerthoty Because they have beauty moderns do not. It's just something from a different era. They can do almost everything a locking knife can. Anything else I use a fixed blade.
Where is DCA? Just curious
How was the party Seth😀 - love the hair.
After his mom came downstairs, the LAN party was over.
Wow a Benchmade under 500 bucks?
He had a hard time spitting out 325 dollars with D2 steel @26:45😅
🙄 how many times can Spyderco market a "NEW"paramilitary 2.. this must be the 50th "new" one.
I don't think having steel options is a bad thing
Well Buck is still flogging new versions of the 110 and 112 . . .
When Glock makes a new pistol.
New steels, new knives. No point in reinventing the wheel when you can just add more modern blade steels.
No, Rattle doesn’t come with the territory, go buy any 5” or below Work Tuff and an ulti clip and have the best money can buy for daily use…:
why on earth did benchmade not release a water bugout or 940....
Why would you put an Emerson wave on a fixed blade
Well if Spyderco can put an 'opening hole' on its fixed blades . . .
Are they giving away Estée Lauder samples with these knives?
Benchmade: Hey everyone let’s make a line of water knives in a color that disappears under the water. Great idea! What can go wrong?
You do realize water is actually clear? You are seeing light reflections that make it appear other colors.
@@davidgarrett5671 Obviosly, but seeing is what matters in this case
@@88woodbikes4 yes, and you can see that shade of blue (or any blue) in water.
Filet knives are useless except for people who have to process lots of fish. Benchmade should make a deba version of the Water series. For people who catch their own fish, a slow careful cutting process with a chef knife is actually better than using a filet knife which wastes a lot of meat. Better to get a cheap, easy to sharpen filet style knife if you really like that style.
If only the Buck would come with a saber grind as well. Do not like hollow grind.
On a blade of this size the hollow grind is my favorite!
Where's David? "he'll be back next week" "On vacation" "Filling in for David"...
I'm still around. Paternity leave :-)
first 10 minutes can be skipped
I like how the clip on the Benchmade sheath looks like it's giving you a stubby middle finger at 4:40 in the video. Truly representative of the brands pricing. $200+ for plastic handles and Magnacut that can be as soft as 60 HRC is delusional. Do people in the Butterfly cult think that they're going to ride a comet into the next dimension if they pay these prices?
What are top five pink knives to give to a female?
guessing it is his first and last performance
fc 7 magnacut when?
Oh Benchmade, you don't disappoint in your craziness. You're the Biden of knife economics.
"Less for more"
- Benchmade 2024
Im loving life, you need to stop watching Fox
I’m fairly sure the two pistol gripped folders were designed to be held in a reverse grip, but you didn’t show that at all? Nervous to index the knife on camera?
Where is Dave?
The large Adira is actually cool and properly priced. The Civivi dagger isn't oversized. Most knives are under sized because of the Bugout toy fad.
having to have a separate tool to change the blade on the elementum is disappointing.
XXL, non-overbuilt finger safe closing folders. The search continues.
Manix XL
@@Zx2Solomon I mean XXL, I consider the Manix 2 XL as a large knife. Think Kershaw Strata but with a button or crossbar lock.
