Been fortunate to play both Archerfield courses and stay in house, lodges and houses....one of the best locations to stay and play golf in Scotland.
Well, Archerfield's now on my "need to play" list. Some spectacular drone views, well done!
Managed to get on there couple times via work & loved the lay out & great test a golf.
What a fantastic looking golf course, definitely bucket list material.
We had the sun twice & gullane 2 weather once, great place some houses around it , service is class, the course always in great nick.

Very impressive! What a gorgeous tract of golfscape. I'm amazed at the overall condition in mid-winter, and don't really know how you can improve on that. The only thing keeping it from the top listing may be that it is fairly flat, aside from the mounding along the fairways, but the layout is superb. Keep 'em coming! as I really enjoy these golf travel guides.

You wouldn't love seeing my dog on the course, she wouldn't leave a seed behind but she also wouldn't let you have it back, practice putting at home is fun, I'm never quite sure if the putt is going in as she's in there pinching it before it drops, 😂🐶

Loved the course. If ever I get to Scotland, I'll see if I can book a round there, with a local caddy of course. You need someone who knows those fairways, bunkers and greens for your maiden round.

Enjoy all of your reviews and make me want to go on that side of the pond to play them. Have played many famous courses in the US, Baltusrol, Pebble Beach, Spanish Bay, TPC Jacksonville, Indian Wells, and many others but never have played anything like you play. Make me wish that I could but health reasons has me staying local. Keep the course reviews coming!!!
Chris had a case of right-it is today. I usually have opposite. I get left of left a lot.
Why not come clean and tell everyone the green fee for each course. This is a £200 course. Seaton Carrew is also next 100 at costs £45. Big difference.
Played Dirlton, Dundonald,Gullane Edinburgh courses last year. Dirlton play and turf condition was the best.

Like the fact I don’t see a lot of people, spectators, etc like at Pebble, etc. and reasonable price. I think Pebble is $625 now.

James, while you and Chris are in the States next time, you should try Tobacco Road Golf Course in North Carolina. It's not too terribly far from Pinehurst.
My favourite course would be Royal Portrush, players in Northern Ireland are either Royal Co Down or Royal Portrush fans, played both and its Portrush for me. If you think the golf coast in Scotland is good wait until you get to the Causeway coast in NI, Portrush, Portstewart, Balycastle etc

It’s an awesome course, but every time I’ve played it the weather has been awful, not the courses fault, but when it rains and blows, it’s the proverbial hooley.

If you are playing in Nottinghamshire, Sherwood Forest is the best course with Worksop a close second.

Notch. Great course. I’m not that bothered about muirfield. Only just allowed women, so tells you what a place it is. Renaissance is very decent too. It time for the new school courses to blow the old school out the water.
It's going to take you mates 2 years to finish this series. I think I'll sit back and enjoy it 😊
Whilst Gullen and Dubar are available for average golfers most of us won’t get a tee time …..at Arch .

What’s criminal is the lack of objective, realistic equipment reviews.
Everything isn’t groundbreaking, best ever, showstopper every time.
how do you even get on Archerfield?
You will have to call the own ball birdie a take-a-pint since you won a pint from your partners wallet. Love the content and the courses you are playing. Courses are so different from here in Canada. Keep it up.

-6 is a good score on, so far, your worse ball striking day. Well from I could tell anyway. Nice to see Chris finally hole a putt. But, once again easily could of been -8 or -9 with the edges burned once again. Keep up the great job.

Really loving the golf you are bringing only one thing wrong is you have got the worst tracer on utube, sorry mate but when we see a tracer going far right of the green and it ends up short of the green but on track means to me your tracer isn't at all accurate, cheers mate.

We play a Texas Scramble as best tee shot. Your in ball from there. Low score is your team score.

Archerfield is only under rated because of its neighbours, its one of the most golf rich coastlines in the UK or even the world. Those courses are also rightly revered and have been there for hundreds of years, if you are travelling to that part of Scotland, you would never play here over all other incredible layouts, Gullane 1, 2&3, Muirfield, North Berwick, Kilspindie, even Craigelaw. Not quite following why this is so under rated, play the others surely?
