Im no coach but would be interested to see her play mini tennis. It looks like she is working so hard to get power. Maybe looser string tension might help her to not need to muscle things so hard.
Mini tennis is very hard for players that don't have optimal timing. It's a great practice tool! Sometimes strings can be a minor factor in injuries, but in this instance there seems to be an obvious underlying technical thing. And there will most likely be strength deficiencies. My recommendation is always to focus on those big ticket items before worrying about strings.
Sry I don’t agree with your fix. As a coach I would fix her takeback and let her hit only open stance forehands for a while. These 2 measures will fix her spacing and the missing coil…
She definitely needs to work on hitting from an open stance, but that won't fix her spacing. Spacing is something that needs to be worked on for all stances. As I mentioned in the video, her take back is less than optimal. So it would certainly be a discussion I would have with her if I were her one on one coach. But working on the take back won't fix the spacing, she still needs to focus on that as a priority.
@ Hitting from an open stance with a decent coil will force her to change her spacing because it is physically impossible to continue hitting the ball like she is now. Changing her takeback especially the position of her elbow and wrist can also force the issue. You can make it impossible to hit the ball the way she is now, this will make it easier for her to change her technique. The wrist needs to be in a protected position while making contact with the ball. The position of her wrist at contact is most probably the bio mechanical reason for most of her forehand related injuries.

See this a lot with kids who are taught to pat the dog and swing low too high. They end up hitting under-hands instead of forehands.

She swings at the ball with her strings, not her edge. She hits off her left foot. No ground force is employed. No first move. Huge issue.
If you compare any of us to the top pros we won't compare well. The important thing is to prioritize the underlying problems..
