Loved watching this… I watched some of your GOW vids before I did it to get an idea of what to expect, but now am watching again after finishing the 6 day walk yesterday. Just love rewatching for the memories of being in the same spotsandseeung all the places we hiked! Such a great walk.
Great Video. I'm going in a couple of months but doing it over the 8 day 7 nights (I'm old). You must be extremely fit. Look forward to watching the rest of your hikes
Great videos. Just rewatching this series because I’m planning on doing this and GSWW back to back in Aug this year. I think I’m going to follow your route of 4 days for GOW. I saw on Insta you did GSWW is there a video coming for that?
I feel like asking a dumb question. If something should happen and you don't make it to your camp site what happens in terms of the fees? I just read that it is about $33 a night per site. Just interested to know, as planning to go and first longer hike carrying a pack (not sure how heavy yours was if you know?), so questioning how much to rest and what impact it might have. Day 1 seems doable :) Great video.
Not dumb at all! My first hike I had no idea as well and my pack was way too heavy 😅 I don’t think I paid that much. Just looked at the website and it’s $15-17 a night.
For this hike I had done a couple hikes before hand so knew what to expect. Just doing each day by day you should be fine this time of year as the sun is up longer you can take it slower throughout the day. Also a pack is meant to be around a third of your body weight…better if it’s less 😅
@@ImogenBall thank you. I love all the effort people put in to do this. Very inspiring, although I know there is no way in hell I would do 33km. That was amazing!
Hi Silvana! There was water available at the camp sites in big water tanks and I used water tablets to filter. Plenty of water because it was raining for me while I did it. I think during a drought water would be scarce.
Hey cool vid. I'm looking at doing similar - 3.5 days solo. Would be keen to ask you some about it - particularly difficulty etc. can I flick you a private message somehow to have a convo please??

How did you get the water? Did you have a water filter?
