I love Gina's idea of a whole season of flashbacks of tom riddle creating the horcruxes. It would be so cool if the gave us an off season episode between the "years/books" showing the back story and how Voldemort made the horcruxes. Thanks for coming out with this episode I've been patiently dying for it! Lol!
This was two weeks ago. Are you guys gonna bring the Behind the Breakdown for the two Deathly Hallows movies as well? I would really appreciate if you guys do that as well.
My head canon for Vold.'s victimology is that, once he became comfortable killing people, his soul wouldn't fracture unless he had some degree of emotional investment. Thus (long shot speculation) I think that the muggle tramp was the head mistress from the orphanage (after succumbing to alcoholism and losing her job & home).
Its a fact that tomatoes will spoil faster on the counter than on the fridge. If you're using them quickly it doesnt matter. But for an extended time, it best to put them in the fridge
i dont refrigerate tomatoes as they last longer out of the fridge but i do like a cold sliced tomato on a sandwich or salad so i will put one in for a few hours before i use it so it will be cold but i use it right away
Love this breakdown series, love these chats about your processes, it has been awesome! I'm super excited for the final two, thank you to all who worked on them!
I must say just the biggest thank you for the HP videos. Everytime I watch one my mind boggles at how you even put them all together. You have reignited my love for HP making me go back and rewatch the films and play the games. And such a perfect time to release them at this time of the year. Big love guys, thank you so much!
I am 100% grateful for what we get! They do an amazing job, and I am a rewatch kind of person, so when I dont know what to watch, I just rewatch my favourite breakdowns!
I’m not going to lie pretty disappointed 1-3 got individual break room discussions and now 4-6 have to share one this is what I listen to when feeling depressed and have been a little content starved
@@TheCrispyChipwith all due respect, if you tried making videos for all the content they are (especially right now) then you would be late with some content too
Did you guys not listen to the full video? The DAYS they spend PER MOVIE researching, reading, watching, writing, filming, editing? These movies have so much content between interviews, websites, behind the scenes, plus the actual book and movies -not to mention all of the lore from other Fantastic Beasts, Cursed Child, and wikia pages, other content creators, new news on the upcoming series, etc. And you guys want to complain that they combined the movies into one break room video, even though they’ve already broken each movie down individually? It’s holiday season, there’s a ton of other movie content recently, and also they are allowed to have their own lives. I’m thankful for ANY content they put out regarding the HP series and I’m sure as much fun as they’re having they also are tired of spending what has been months doing this for their fans who have asked for it for so many years. With that being said THANK YOU to all of the New Rockstars team who continuously pump out quality content day after day. You have no reason ever to apologize, I’ve been a fan for 8 years and nothing will stop me from supporting you guys!
@hayleehunt4938 (No joke was writing this comment up and was about to not, until i read yours and thankyou, so to add to it)... Yeah, what the hell are these guys talking about. Listen to the video. They are loving doing these breakdowns, Erik, Gina, the editors and everyone involved in the process, but they are exhausted. Yeah, I'd love to hear them talk for a long time too, but they have done enough. And thankyou to them because they've sparked my love for Harry Potter again after so many years, making me want to read the books again, but for the knowledge and not as a way to put me to sleep like they did when I was younger. They did that for me and probably many others and I'm grateful for it. So be grateful and don't get mad at them over the fact there are less videos and a possible drop in quality, they tired and it's Christmas. Let them cook and let them breathe. Love those guys
worked at taco bell and whataburger and can confirm places like that do refrigerate our tomatoes. maybe because we cut them? preserve longer cause we get such a huge amount? idk but we do it
We refrigerate our tomatoes at the restaurant I work at I not sure if it’s right or wrong the health inspector said the temperature needs to be a a certain degree but I’m just there for the paycheck I don’t really know lol
I like that half blood prince was the calm before the storm where the kids got to be kids before they would be forever aged by war. I love the order of the phoenix more than anything because it was the most emotionally vulnerable for me.
Ive seen a popular fan theory that he did get his hands on the sword and was trying to make it his last horcrux with harrys death but since it rebounded and killed his body instead, harry became the horcrux and the sword simply disappeared like when griphook died
I have loved all the videos of the breakdowns and the behind the breakdown episodes. I have only seen the movies and it is really cool to see all the easter eggs to look for and all the different information about the movies. Now when I see the movies, I will be looking for those easter eggs. Also, I have loved tomatoes ever since I was a kid and yes I was born in New Jersey but raised in Florida. I am half Italian and I just love snacking and using tomatoes in so many of my meals. I do refrigerate them but they are immediately eaten so they don't even have time to go bad.
I don’t think the horcrux has to be created at the time of killing someone. Wizards kill others but few make a single horcrux (death eaters aren’t out here with horcruxes). Killing rips the soul. You kill some people then you have your tattered soul within yourself. Later you do the horcrux magic to encase a fragment within the object. By the time Vold tried killing Harry he had a fractured soul with 5 fragments outside of his body (in the book they believe this makes the soul very unstable) so the rebounding spell ripped another chunk of soul off of Vold’s already tattered one that latched onto Harry. This was seen as the exception because instead of dying, Vold’s horcruxes allowed his original damaged soul to linger in existence. The soul was just out there free from his body already and in bad shape. When he was a living wizard creating intentional horcruxes, he would have had to preform the complex magic to get the part of his soul from inside him to the object. His soul chunk wouldn’t just jump out into an object he brought with him to the murder. He could have killed 2 people, then acquired the 2 objects, then turned the objects into horcruxes
11:15 Yes! Order of the Phoenix is probably the most underrated of the movies, and is probably my second favorite of the movies. The book was full of filler, and they made smart cuts. It definitely has aged the best
I would argue Half Blood Prince is the most underrated because it's dogged on a ton. When it's actually the most fun and different of the David Yates films. We get to see the kids have fun and a relatively normal year of school before things get SO dark for the next year forward.
There are extended cuts for the first three films that officially exist. Surprised yall didn’t mention this. Also, I believe goblet of fire has one, but was only on tv.
Clearly they fucking know this. They watched it all for breakdowns. Are you not listening? They can't include every single everything.... breakdowns will take hours.
I don't get this argument that they should recast the characters mid-series.. There isn't a big time jump like in House of the Dragon or The Crown, it would be jarring if they suddenly looked different. And whatever kid plays Draco will become filthy rich -- is it really so terrible that he would have to dye his hair for a role?
So I’ve heard a theory floated around that Voldy actually had the sword of Griffindor with him when he went to kill Harry, in Goddrick’s Hallow, but when all the things went down, the sword disappeared, as it has been shown to do
I guess we’re gonna go there. I currently work in restaurant in the United States and we absolutely refrigerate the tomatos. Right or wrong I’ve been in a number of restaurants where it’s standard to refrigerate all produce.
Ok you’re killin’ me with the re-uploads. This is a reply to the original comment saying that its US health code to refrigerate them. Im a chef in CA. I have worked in places that both refrigerated tomatoes and do not refrigerate tomatoes. Tomatoes are heavy breathers, meaning they give off a gas that makes them ripen. If you keep them in a walk-in refrigerator, they will be fine as long as there is sufficient air circulation. If you have them in a small enclosed space they will rot every quickly. It all really depends on how fast you use them and if you have the proper facilities.
In California we have to store all produce and vegetables in the fridge at my restaurant besides onions and potatoes I’ve been working as a chef for 15 years wether or not it’s good that’s what we have to do
Growing up (chicago) produce went in the refrigerator. But as an adult, after I grew my own tomatoes (still in chicago) and they were so damn good, I could only buy heirloom tomatoes at the store - because you just can’t go back to store tomatoes once you’ve had the freshest. Anyway, that’s when I stopped putting tomatoes in the fridge. Makes no sense once you actually think about it. Once you’ve had them so fresh… cooling them kills the taste. And the first year I grew them, they never made it into the house. My son and I would bring out a cutting board and salt and just eat them in the backyard.
I don't understand why people think the final fight can't be cinematic as written. It was very cinematic in my head. We've seen shootouts in westerns several times before, where they build the tension until the final exciting moment. The idea that Harry should be able to get in even s couple spells against the most skilled dark wizard alive is ludicrous. Just let them circle each other, taunt each other, give close ups on twitching hands and focused eyes, circular camera sweeps from above, on their feet, crowd shots, etc. It could all work really well and everyone's just dismissing it due to a lack of imagination.
You know guys there is a possibility that because HP isn’t set in the US they might do things differently 🤯 And your googling results might affect that geographical fact 🤷♀️
The fact that Rolling made the process of creating a horcrux so vile that it can be known to the public, how did Voldemort accidentally make Harry one?
No disrespect she was so caught up on how the books were which a lot of ppl where but from someone who never read the books I love these movies and they're their own thing and should be treated as such considering the movie induced the later books

Have you been to the Harry Potter studio tour near London. They are the proper sets and are absolutely amazing. I went in winter and they had the full size Hogwarts castle in winter mode, with snow, etc.
The only things I could think of if this cast a black actor to play Snap is the bullying. Wither it be intentionally or unintentional could be perceived as racially motivated thus cause the marauders to be perceived as racist. Or having a black man pining over a white woman
I agree tomatoes shouldn't be refrigerated and MOST resources say not to.... But when I searched "should tomatoes be refrigerated in the UK", the top link said yes. ☺️
I've always thought cumberbatch would be a good Snape, and not because he can do a good rickman impression, but because he can be so sinister seeming but also turn on a dime. On the flip side I always thought it'd be fun to bring some of the kids from the films to come play the professors. Like have Radcliffe, who's now 35 which is about right for Snape when you think about it, or Watson play trelawny.
Just googled the tomato thing and it says as many times to do as it says not to. I really don't mind if you were right, but I wouldn't be saying its a 100% true statement that Google backs up. It just isn't. It is debatable, at least.
Random thought: Voldemort's birthday is listed as December 31. Interesting because it's the polar opposite of of Harry's July 31 birthday. I have complicated feelings about JK but I'm really enjoying these breakdowns and everything you guys do!
Alright if the tomatoe is sliced or cut then you have to put it in the fridge. Also your rpm must be at least like $20 on the NR channel for the HP breakdowns to be that profitable. Am I close? What’s your rpm and avd too
Damn .. lack of research on this one shows sorry. Its confirmed the ring was the first horcrux , in the summer before his fifth year. Before he ever spoke to Slughorn.. Also pretty well established even just from clear context clues the diary wasn’t planned .. he used such important items for all the other horcrux’s he would have never chosen a muggle diary but it was all he had on him. Even from her story it’s clear she walked in on him opening the chamber she was killed and he took the opportunity to make a Horcrux. He re-wrote this a bit later in life to act like it was planned but it wasn’t.
Nope the cast needs to remain the same for the whole series. House of the dragon benefited because it happened within about 20 years. The crown worked because it told most the queen’s life. The harry potter series happens within about 7 years. Recasting would feel odd.
I don’t think we can compare recasting aging up to HotD and The Crown. Those shows aged up decades. We’re aging up a summer vacation. Not remotely the same. Recasting would be a huge distraction. I hate that idea. Also, can we [Gina] PLEASE stop pronouncing Rowling’s name wrong. It’s Rowling, rhymes with bowling. Like Rolling.
definitely don't refrigerate tomatoes. it destroys the flavor and texture. I, like Eric, did it wrong for years and was a convert and it was like tasting tomatoes for the first time they were so much better unrefrigerated.

1:04:10 Heath Ledger joker is the perfect example of this. People were upset about it and he ended up like defining the role for future generations

Thus (long shot speculation) I think that the muggle tramp was the head mistress from the orphanage (after succumbing to alcoholism and losing her job & home).
This is less long-shot speculation and more just head-canon lol

UA-cam…. Not just filming a video and talking into a camera… these types of UA-camrs don’t get enough credit
I'm mad at myself for missing this live 😣

The way you buy produce is the way you store produce. Tomatoes are not in the refrigerated section of the grocery store. Debate over.
I don't think it's as simple as this. What about grapes or berries that are often on the floor AND refrigerated?
It makes sense to refrigerate tomatoes in a restaurant setting. Definitely not at home.

Nope the cast needs to remain the same for the whole series. House of the dragon benefited because it happened within about 20 years. The crown worked because it told most the queen’s life. The harry potter series happens within about 7 years. Recasting would feel odd.
Well considering the success of The Crown and House of the Dragon, it wouldn't be a stretch to consider the recasting of the younger characters
14:52 I agree that 6 was the worse adaptation

Order of the Phoenix is one of the worst adaptations to film. What are you on about
DO NOY REFRIGERATE TOMATOES
She doesn't know what a deleted scene is? Wtf
