    Also notice that this is just a specialized mechanical engineering degree. It may focus on aerospace applications, but most aerospace engineers actually have mechanical degrees because most schools just teach this through mechanical. The concepts are the same. Some schools like CU Boulder offer aero degrees, most schools just offer mechanical with aerospace electives, they are basically the same and the curriculum flow is the same

    I noticed you said that electrical engineers are the ones that design the circuitry in the planes and spaceships. What specific discipline is that in electrical engineering field because that is exactly what I want to do!

    • @EngineeringInsiders
      @EngineeringInsiders  7 місяців тому +1

      Hello! Great question and great career to get into. As you can imagine there are a ton of circuitry systems in theses greater vessels so you do have options.
      Embedded systems are the condensed computer like systems, like some navigation systems.
      Mechatronics and robotics systems are similar but are more for specific physical applications, like moving some arm on a spaceship for example.
      Power systems engineers deal with the entire electrical power budget - where it is coming from and where and how it is allocated.
      Radio Frequency/ microwave engineers deal with the communications circuitry. Uplink, downlink, and the breakout to/from everything.
      And a ton more in between! I recommend having conversations with engineers in the field, more UA-cam and internet digging, and even chatting with chatbots like ChatGPT for further info. Or ask away here or in our discord 🙂

So if you happen to make a miscalculation of some sort, your peers should (hopefully) catch it. That being said, a lot of time, money, and human lives are at stake when designing these sort of things, so uh…pay attention in class.

    Ok. Don't go for Mechanical if your career choice is Aerospace. Most organizations won't hire you for aerospace applications with a Mechanical Engineer's Diploma or Degree. They observe that an Aerosoace Engineer is more committed to this field as he doesn't have anywhere else to go.
    Secondly, you will always be hired on the basis of your first job's industry. So, depending on profile, things will change.
    Thirdly, despite all the glamour, the pay is still minimal as aircrafts are expensive and the regulations and certification cost a lot more than manufacturing. Hell, even designing costs more than manufacturing.
