Hey Brad, I only played one main event in 2006. Knocked out by a very inebriated Eric Molina about 8-9 shy of the bubble. I also played 3 days and looked and felt like you at the end of this video. I was 41 then. I'm 59 and will be playing in my second main event in 2024!
I played the main event in 2009, second hand I was dealt pocket aces under the gun, both red cards and a drunken lunatic in middle position went all in after I raised it to 4k. Everyone folded n I snap called. He turns over ace of spades and three of clubs. Flops king of clubs and the other cards were of 7 n 9 off suit. Then a ten of clubs comes on the turn and the river was the 2 of clubs. Ten grand gone in ten mInutes by a fall down drunk donkey🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I appreciate it’s an expensive buy in, but busting out was a merci. Card dead for the whole first day, then short stacked for a fill 2 days. Did well to stick with it that long.

It seems like to actually win the WSOP there’s so much more luck involved than something like a cash game or a smaller tournament with good players. You have to survive so many All-ins and even if you’re the favorite you can still get cracked eventually

I think the fear of pros is a bit weird. People like Daniel Negreanu or Phil Ivey will absolutely destroy your soul heads up. But it isn't impossible to beat them! Yeah, you gotta be a little bit more careful, but giving someone too much credit can be exploited just as easily as anything else!

lol...I know this was 7 years ago, but near the end why the fold of AK off with the AJ94 board?? I get the turn put a flush on board but you were heads up, short stacked, and could have jammed rather than folded. You were far more likely to get bled out the next few hands than it was that he was beating you at that point especially since he was also pretty short stacked too!

I hate AQ! I have been knocked out of so many tournaments with that hand! It’s cursed! If I go against it it’s a guaranteed loss! I literally lose 90%+ with this hand I’ve got to where I just fold the shit pre flop! It’s crazy because when I do fold it it comes up! I don’t play it anymore! I have to treat it as 72off or I will lose every single time
