Man I share this feeling with you! My wife and I have not missed an UFC event in over 12 years! When Glover won the title I literally cried in shear happiness for Glover and his team! Although this is a great short documentary that gives a glimpse into reality for a fighter from outside the states, we will never know what he and many others actually went through to get where they are today! Keep up the good work making these short documentary’s! They are Gold for us MMA Junkies like myself and others!
Legendary and inspirational fighter. "Never give up on your dreams, no matter what people say dont listen to them. Believe in yourself, keep going forward"..... Glover Teixeira
What a phenomenal warrior, and persevering champion. His journey to make it to the USA, and then to have to leave, and then having an amazing wife who did all she could to bring him back, and did. One of the best champions ever, Master Texeira.
Glover had already passed his prime by the time he made it to the UFC and still is a Hall of famer top 20 all time. I believe he would have had a legendary championship run if he came 4-5 years earlier.
Nah JBJ was already there. 2 Glovers wasn't going to beat JBJ and whatever he was on. Still super happy he made it to the top even if it was short lived. Glover is an awesome human.
Glover is an absolute stud. I appreciated his career from afar and am incredibly happy he got that belt at 42. There's not a more deserving champion. Such a Humble man, but an absolute killer in the cage!!!
Glover comes across as an amazing person, with a never say die mentality. I would love to bump into Glover someday and tell him how much his career and finally winning the belt at 42 meant to me and my boys who watched all his UFC fights. It's such an inspirational story, that seeing this cartoon had me tearing up for Glover again.
I got to meet Glover, briefly, several years ago. Even in that short time, it was obvious that he was a genuine and sincere person. Hes the only fighter that I have been a fan of after meeting them instead of before, and I cried happy tears when he got the gold. Also, when I met him he was THICC. I dont have a huge reach but I could barely get my arm around his shoulders.
This needs a 2nd part because what he done for Alex Pereira brings his story full circle. Not only did he end up being one of the greatest fighters ever, but he's also a great coach and mentor to Alex.
How can you not respect this man.. what a man.. I was so so happy for him when he won the title! You can never take that away from him.. mad respect Glover.. 🙏🏻
It's between Glover and Francis for immigrant UFC champion with the most wild and craziest journey into a new life in pursuit of happiness, success, and beyond all else, never stop fighting no matter the judge, jury, or executioner. Glover, you are an inspiration to millions and we fuckin' love you bro. 👋🥋 🤜 🦵 🦶
That's a inspirational story... Remember he lost his first title shot to Jon Jones and had fight all the way back up for a another title shot!! Damn... that's perseverance!
For an old man to lose a title in 2014 to the best ever and come back and win the title after 5 straight wins and win in 2021 is something special. Tough sob.
And the fact he took in Alex periera under his wing, is just goes to show you how nice he is, sharing his wisdom of fighting and takedowns and defending them, will even cement Glovers name in future especially if Alex keeps winning belts
glover basically running nto chuck by accident is such a great turn of luck, back then there was probably not a better person to know if you want to get into MMA, dude got a direct connection to Dana.^^
From 2019- 2022 a 40 year old man with the will to win and suffering catastrophic losses to Anthony Johnson and Alex Gustafason won 6 fights in a row is extremely impressive. He wasnt supposed to beat Jan B. And was a cunts hair to beating Jiri shows how amazing Glover is. For being a Chuck Liddell protege thats pretty impressive and for him to be a contender as long as he was is legendary. Kudos to Glover Texeria.
I never knew much about Glover until his championship run. Up until then I just knew he was tough as hell because of that beating he took against Gus, one of my all time favorites. I waa taken aback to see how, idk, kinda goofy he is in a very lovable way. Im hapoy he was able to make it. I cannot imagine going from rural brazil to even Sao Palo or Rio, but to the U.S with big cites and a language barrier? And to fight for a living? Obviously if you arent strong enough to do that you probably arent strong enougj to become a world champion, but Brazil is a place where you can become a world class fighter without traveling thousands of miles from your family. Idk man couldnt have happened to a nicer guy. And as out of nowhere Yan becoming a champion was, i def. thought he was more than worthy. That being said I was sure Glover would find a way to win. Like when the Cavs came back against the Warriors. I KNEW they were winning game 7
I thought they could have stopped the fight against Jiri several times. I thought Glover had it several times and if it went to decision, Glover was going to win. Because of that last second loss, I missed out on two different nine leg parlays that would have won me thousands 😂. It's okay though because Glover is the man and this was so awesome. One of my favorites. I was happy to see him take the belt even though it was against my other favorite, Jan. Polish power
10:39. I fought in the Tough Man Competition once at age 26, in Clarksville, TN. I got 2nd place. The guy who beat me is in the UFC now, Luke Sanders. Man, he hit hard. He gave me a black eye and rug burn through the headgear! Everyone he fought he punched out Vitor Belfort style. Fast and ferocious. Me? I lasted the distance, but he kept knocking me down, even as the final bell sounded. I pray I can be better than at at my comeback in MMA. God, please make me one of the greatest fighters of all time, please. Be careful what I wish for? Why?
Man @16:20 what kind of medicine do they have chuck on?? The clicking of his teeth and talking through the clinch teeth is so strong. Even his breathing which could be his flattened nose from fighting but it is bad. Does medicine for CTE make you do that?
After I watched this video, I can appreciate the help that my gf/future wife does for me and the difficult times we’ve been through. Anything is possible when you have a strong partner to your side
A true inspiration. Thank you for representing Brazil so well, Glover.
No need for a comma before Glover unless you’re asking a question. You aren’t speaking directly to him. Grammarly is cheap
@@TrollNovanah you’re wrong.
@@TrollNovaor as I should say, “nah, you’re wrong.”
Brasil acima de tudo

Made me tear up when he won the title, and it made me tear up seeing it again just now. Impossible not to root for, Glover.

A truly amazing fighter, inspiring and great person to showcase what determination and perseverance can do!
No doubt!
@@UFCFightPass oh nice! Mighty kind to receive some acknowledgement!
@Bobby-G6 doesn't diminish what Glover did and had to go through, nor the people going through challenges like his were.
@jabron.destoroyah 16:11 They made dana taller than chuck 😂

Glove truly inspires. This show for him was awesome. Thank you UFC for putting this together.
Glad you enjoyed it
A true legend in and out of the cage, his going to be remembered as just as a solid as coach one day the way Poatan is going
Everytime Glover talks about his life story I cry Bro... I'm proud him as a Brazilian.

Glover couldve taken the title off of shogun. Shows how amazing JBJ is. Glover grabbed the title once Bones left as a old man.
Don’t forget rumble.
@@jimmyjackass1805 you’re right I forgot about Mr. steroids
Looking at the timeline, Glover was probably set to debut in the UFC the night Chuck lost the title to Rampage
Thank you for doing this story on Glover.
I love Glover Teixeira...he's a total stud and a hero. MMA baby, it's the best.
You just cant hate on this guy he is the most wholesome dude in the UFC

I love how humble Glover is. He's beyond inspiring
Wow this brought tears to my eyes
Glover is the definition of what every man should strive to be! An actual true to life role model!
