I hate the monomer. I started doing gel x Apres and they last just like acrylics, my niece comes with me every month with her entire nails 😂❤ I’m in love with gel x.

When I add the polishes why do I lose the shape
I recommend wiping the sides to remove any excess polish before curing it. Make sure you don’t apply super thick coats. You can also reshape them a bit once your done applying your polish
I do my own pressons and gel x and this series has been so helpful to me . Please continue it

starting gel x when my stuff comes in tmr! I started with press ons and realized i could do so much more with a plain base and new polish (especially since the film on press ons tends to peel if you don’t put enough layers of gel top coat)

This video is so helpful. Especially for those that live in a city where the nail techs (at salons) art design skills are limited. Every pic you show them, "nooo...we don't do that here" 😒🙄 I won't be able to buy all the tools I need all at once, but I'm about to purchase at least 2 to 3 things I need per month until I have everything to do my own nails the way I like (practice hand and airbrush machine included). This is exciting. Thanks again for uploading.

I have spent alot of money on some crappy nails from 2020 to date. None last and very few times did I get exactly what I wanted and rarely a set that lasts. The bump in prices vs quality is a disaster cuz I’m not going to pay for aesthetics but they lift within a week….. Been doing my own nails for the past 3 months and my sets last weeks I’m not mad at all. $100 bought me my whole setup now learning to do my designs

a quick analogy for the nail bed and nail extension prep.. it’s like slip and score in pottery. When connecting two pieces of clay.. you typically wanna create ridges on both pieces where they will connect and then you add “slip” which is pretty much the nail glue or w.e you choose to use .

Another way to seal the cuticle is take some acetone on a brush and run it around the cuticle it melts and seals the cuticle
Instead of the prep in 1 can we use a regular gel-top coat glossy finish?

Tip: use the ball bit for etching… it fits much better than the sanding band

Can u paint the nail BEFORE you apply?
The part that goes onto your natural nail should be clear for proper gel curing :( but you could use it as a press on with normal glue if already painted!!
