It's interesting to see that, on this occasion, the top three televote totals were all over 300 points, the 4th and 5th placed televote scores were in the 200s range. Thus the top five countries of the televote took up 1,420 televote points, out of the total of 2,204 televote points, leaving only 784 televote points for the remaining 20 finalist countries, so it's hardly surprising so many countries had less than 40 points each. Cette année la Suisse, comme l'année passée la Suède se sont trouvés 1ers dès le départ et n'ont jamais perdu le lead. Les pauvres présentatrices (qui soit dit en passant ont été excellentes dès le début de la semaine) essayent de rendre le televote passionnants, mais comme il y avait 2242 televotes en jeu, et que 2016 avaient été attribués après baby lasagna, on pouvait calculer que Nemo allait gagner sans faire trainer 3 minutes. (Ravi que la Suisse ait gagné, entre parenthèse)
Seuls les bons en maths le savent. 😉 Plus sérieusement, je ne pense pas. Avec l'ancien système, on savait qui allait gagner avant que tous les jurys aient voté. Là, on garde un peu de suspens. Il y a beaucoup de choses à changer d'ici l'année prochaine, à mon avis. A commencer par le superviseur et son équipe qui ont laissé se développer une ambiance délétère cette année.

Some random considerations regarding Italy 1) I am disappointed but not that much. 7th is still awesome, especially in an year full of politics like this. Thank you Angelina. Shame on voters, 300 points on an invader. 2) Angelina was perfect but the stage didn't help. Colours and elegance were the most italian thing i saw in years, but reduced heavily that positive vibe that bomb Angelina brought to the stage in Sanremo and preparties. 3) same as 2, regarding dancers and coreography. That was a disastrous decision, i felt Angelina just like she was chained. 4) Italy is the best at sending singers with a song, at staging female bops it is barely decent. Slimane was a monster just like Marco last year, i think that is our way. 5) This year was full of bops, and they all failed. Maybe this is a message?
