I work with 8 Filipino guys who have been here (Ireland) between 15-18yrs working to send money home to put their sons and daughters through college, provide for wives & children and/or to invest in land and/or business, everyone to a man are good spirited and present warm smiles and share laughs ......and every xmas most of them spend alone in a bedsit while the rest of us enjoy 14 days of the holidays with our loved ones ....god bless any man or woman who sacrifices so much of themselves to make their loved ones lives better
I am a Filipino working in Dubai and I remember when I saw this in youtube and posted it in my timeline. Most of my friends who works on Christmas even in New Year''s Eve commented that they cried when they watch this. So proud of all Overseas Filipino working hard to support their family back home.
so the reason why there's such commercials like this is because people (filipino) look not only in the brand itself but how the company care to community so if the filipino consumer see that the company(brand) care to other people esp. people who are in need the consumer return the goodness of the company by supporting the product of that company
I am a Filipino and I'll tell you that we Filipinos are very emotional people. We try to be happy and to smile despite all sadness and challenges in life. We easily are moved by our emotions. We are fueled by love and our emotions. We are bonded by our emotions. Even maybe the singing prowess of most Filipinos are also fueled by emotions and dedication to music, and most of all, we love our Filipino culture. Anything or anyone that shows our traditions, culture of sharing, culture of helping, culture of love, culture of talents and identity as Filipinos, we are easily moved and we are getting prouder of our selves as an individual and as a nation. So in order to market well in the Philippines, show love, show culture, show Filipino talent, show traditions, show something really Filipino and close to Filipino's hearts, and touch our emotions either by laughter or by something sad.
Raul Limos doesn't it puzzle you at times that they sort of make labels like that and the labels don't actually make sense because it can't apply to the subjects of the video, the recipients of the coca cola gifts? Like how are they "bringers of the christmas spirit" when in fact they're the ones that receive it? My point here is advertisement agencies just love to doodle with names and titles and what have you that at times don't really connect to the message of the video. But they do it as part of their old formula to make a brand sell. It's cunning and crafty isn't it?
@tuberroto taga-hatid sila kasi sila dinadaanan ng mga taong magcecelebrate ng pasko in a few hours. The commercial is abt coke giving a thank you sa mga "taga-hatid" pasko, nakalagay sa end ng commercial
this short film ads are presented in portions when aired during a TV show. this three stories aired separately and was only compiled to be viewed online.
I do work in hospitality industry as a cook... I do know how it feels like, I do my best to cook delicious food for Christmas not for my family but for the guest celebrating Christmas eats and still having complaints, yeah it’s hard having Christmas tired working inside the kitchen instead of being with my family warm drinks and good foods having fun... But still it’s my profession and I’ll do my duty with smile no matter what... And now Christmas is coming and I’m ready for another battle... To all the workers in Christmas time, Heads up, be proud, smile just think of even though we’re not with them at those time but when we are with them see them smile and ok and they are still there for you no matter what, make that as a relief and treasure those moments... God Bless you all and take care always...
It's not just about marketing a product, it shows how we love our family so much that we will sacrifice everything for them, even if we can't be with them for family occasions like Christmas because we have to work hard for them. We, Filipinos have close family ties.
No, companies here only air these kinds of commercials during special occasions. Like this Coca-Cola commercial, they only aired it last Christmas season. And one of the reasons we love Coca-Cola, we wait for their heart-warming and tear-jerker Christmas special commercial.
Try to watch and react also in Philippines Airlines Christmas commercial about Overseas Filipino Workers who cannot spend holidays with their love ones because they need to come back to work abroad in Christmas Eve. Very touching commercial.
hey guys, nice reaction! the lady staff asked by her last customer to wrap tons of gifts that were intended for her to bring home to her family, didn't have time to buy & wrap stuff in time for christmas because of her busy holiday schedule. that made her day or maybe her holiday because even without leaving her post, not even on her lunch or coffee break, she was able to come up with gifts for her loved ones to unwrap on the big day. & she didn't even have to spend her holiday earnings. merry christmas in advance! c",)
I missed out on so much stuff from this channel cause I'm half-filipino as well, I had to subscribe. And I didn't know Jennifer Love Hewitt was the one in the middle.
Nice reaction there guys! I think people here make use of advertisements not just to promote the products but to remind people good values cause many Filipinos spend a lot of time watching on TVs - a culture to most families cause it's a way to bond as well, so there... Yup, we pay attention to commercials. Plus, if a commercial has humor or some depth, the product is much easily remembered. Kudos to the creative advertisers by the way! 😉 PS: For Tagahatid Pasko, the closest translation I could think of is Deliverers of Christmas.
I'm sure someone else already commented on it but "taga-hatid na pasko" literally means "deliverer of Christmas." However, its loose meaning is more like those who take care of us to have a better Christmas.
okay so um I am from Canada .... what the heck is KB toys? just curious and I loved your in depth reaction ... I am Coca Cola man from infancy almost ... this commercial resonated on so many level thank you for reacting too it

Wait! I've never met another Filipino/Italian that's not my brother or cousin! I don't know what to do with this information aside from be really happy that someone out there also has my specific and rare racial background. I see you, Greg. Keep making things and being a generally cool person.
Please try to react on a Filipino girl band. 4th Impact. They went to England just to join the X Factor UK to fulfill their dreams..Now they get the highest views in the history of X Factor UK of 75M.. Please react to their first audition. you're gonna love it.
Just now I saw this video and I’m really happy on your reactions and also tears falling when watching the video. 😭😭😭 I left a like and subscribed in your channel. 👍

"Taga-hatid ng Pasko" - means the bringers of the Christmas Spirit.
