      Yes, it's similar some hair you see from Latin people. The hair does not lay down until it's long so you are much more limited in what you can do. A barbers worst nightmare is an Asian kid coming in with a picture of Brad Pitt and asking for that cut.

    Dammit. More barbers need to be like this man. So much attention to detail. More often, barbers do the same cut for everyone regardless if you ask them to do something different. I think that’s why most Asian men with straight hair like this end up going to hairdressers. Smh.
    It takes a lot to find the right barber that’ll work with you. I have stubborn Asian hair that grows straight out of the sides and a top hair like the guy in the video. It’s difficult to find a barber that can get rid of the line and make the cut not look like someone slapped a bowl on the head and used scissors across. It took me at least 6-8 barbers around town to actually find the barber for me and get a good cut/ how I like it as I have had different cuts over time.

    Cutting Asian is very difficult because our hair operates on a completely dimension then other straight hairs (besides some Mexicans) because it sticks straight out so it’s hard to fade and for certain haircuts like the fringe or crop top we are more limited then let’s say a Caucasian’s hair because our hair won’t lay down at the same lengths and I think he did a pretty decent job at it.

      I always find it hard to see guides above 1. I usually just go through my system then go back in with my corners, clipper / scissor over comb or blending shears.

    I really wish I was in the UK so I could drop in for a haircut from Dan. Too bad I'm in Canada with a haircut that got cut too short after explaining in detail the exact cut I wanted. Maybe I should have waited the extra day and went in when my barbershop was open rather than going to another shop. You got any tips for growing hair faster? I'll probably try out a style similar to Dan in the mean time. What should I tell my barber to get this cut?

    What length is the hair on top? And do you leave the hair longer towards the fringe?

    • @trashcansign
      @trashcansign 4 роки тому

      I think the length is around 5~6 inches at least, but depending ur face shape ur length may vary, but then again, depending on your face shape, this hairstyle might not fit you. hope this helps

    • @User2jn
      @User2jn 4 роки тому +8

      If your hair has products in it than the fringe will cause acne.
      Also, oily hair may also cause pimples on the forehead if you let it sit there.
      If you don't want to end up with pimples the next day have a shower straight away when you get home and wash the products out.

    His first cut is called Two block hair cut. Which I prefer for this type of straight hair, looks better if it was a fresh cut. You can't really see as his hair was grown out. Taking the sides high will make the side stick out when it grows.
