What’s with all the fake Anton Bachmann violins when original Anton Bachmann violins aren’t that expensive to begin with?
Of course, nothing is wrong with getting a new violin from living makers. But remember that the great Itzhak Perlman even suggested players to get older violin if one has money to spend. It is an 'investment' that grows together with you. The value never drops. Just buy one with reputable certificate(s) from reputable place.
raising Q, will makers start branding their Vs sometime before yr 3000?
Where would you go to check an old violin that looks well made and has the potential to have an original label?
Why? Money. Greed.
Help! What is the exact length of the 4/4 cello strings? What is the distance between the body and the bridge?
I can’t search and find them it's real or fake like a Detective Conan!
